Hi, I had lipofilling after explantation 3 years ago. Unfortunately I developped oil cysts. What could be the cause? I went to another surgeon and he told me that fat transfer to the breast is not safe because it may cause cancer. Is that true? Another surgeon told me that research had proven that the fat disappears after Some time. What is your experience? Thanks
I got breast implants 13 years ago. My breast were very painful a few months afterward, especially my left breast. It felt as if a nerve was being compressed and as if my body was fighting a foreign invader. I had the implants removed around 4 years later with fat grafted to the breast. Now there are hard lumps that are very painful. I feel like a heavy object is compressing my chest making it diffucult to breathe. Im unable to contact the surgeon who did the fat tranfer. What are my options?
45 yrs old, healthy and normal bmi, had undergone fat transfer to breasts 1.5 yrs back - 650cc in each breast. Recently got a sonography done and the report said multiple simple cysts measuring anywhere between 9x8 mm to 12x11 mm are seen in both breasts. Everything else appears to be normal. No lumps seen nor felt. Breasts seem smooth. I want to go for a second fat procedure, but I was told it would be risky due to increase in size and no of cysts and lot of infections may happen. Any advice?
Mommy makeover 3/2020 w/peri-areolar breast lift, tummy tuck, lipo, and breast fat grafting. Developed fat necrosis w/golf-ball sized cyst (mostly upper medial section) now calcified & painful at times. But I HATE the way it looks and feels during intimacy. If cyst is removed it will take MOST of the volume and result in a divot. Instead of removing it, could I try to fat graft over it to hopefully minimize its hard feel and the look of it when I lay flat. 5'3, 125#, B cup. ANY IDEAS? HELP!
I have had a fat transfer to the breast area that had caused some cysts and reabsorbed. I had the procedure as a part of a breast reconstruction a few years after after mastectomy and radiation. If I was to attempt a fat transfer again am I likely to have the same result? Thank you
Hi all, Im interested in getting fat transferred to my breasts (more for fullness and less for a size change). Ive seen some reviews where women have mentioned that they developed oil cysts, calcification and other lumps. Roughly what percentage of cases result in lumps (how common is this)? Is there a time period in which an oil cyst might appear? Will this be a persistent concern or would I be safe after a time period? And does post-op weight change increase the likelihood of oil cysts?
I have been planning to get a breast fat transfer and my surgeon requeated a breast ultrasound although I had a mammogram few weeks ago &was clear.the ultrasound showed a few cysts in the left breast and a 2 cm fibroadenoma in the right one.she insisted it looked benign but still suggested a biopsy making me worry and am trying to keep positive .How can this be missed by a mammogram ? I booked with a breast surgeon do u think it is better to just remove it altogether to stay on the safe side .
I had a fat transfer surgery to the breasts. I used the brava unit for a month before, as advised. All of the fat turned into cysts. I had already had surgeries on my breasts. I had implants, and then removal. I wanted to refill some of the areas where I lost tissue. I will have the cysts removed next week. I would like my doctor to try again, but I don't know if it is worth it.
