Hello. I got my breast augmentation 6 mo ago. I have never had a uti in my life until after my Aug. I was on the medication prescribed for me after my surgery and ended up having an allergic reaction to one of them. Then had to be put on steroid. A couple days later I knew something was weird went to the doctor and I had a uti. Got prescribed antibiotics and since then I have been on 10 different ones. Nothing will clear. Is this related to BII ? Help
I have had issues with easily getting uti since childhood. 30 years of age. I am not aware of having one currently but it could happen!! Will this stop my chances of BA? Do they administer antibiotics if there is any infection before doing surgery or how does this work?? Just so many questions. Any help would be so wonderful. My consult appt is only 2 weeks from now and just wanting to know my chances.. I feel I'm a great candidate, but I am not a surgeon. I have had 2 c sections and no other surgeries.
My surgery was canceled a week before surgery because of an infection , my surgeon advise me as long as Ive an infection the surgery wont go ahead , I went to the gp today and I was prescribed more antibiotics I have to take them right up to my surgery day Ive told my surgeon I am taking a second course of antibiotics. Will my surgery be canceled again
I had my breast augmentation one week ago today (350cc unders). I have had no real issues and it's been an ok recovery. Yesterday (6-days post op) I noticed symptoms of a UTI. I have had a few UTI's in the past and am familiar with the symptoms and discomfort. I am wondering if this UTI can be linked to a sign of infection associated with my surgery?
My BA surgery is tomorrow at 2pm & I woke up with a UTI today (I get them often). I have already taken one dose of antibiotics and can get in 2 more doses before surgery time. I've already bawled my eyes out because I won't be able to reschedule my surgery this year. I already took time off work for this with months of planning. Is there any chance my surgeon will still allow me to have the surgery as planned?
I have breast augmentation surgery scheduled for tomorrow. My surgeon request a CBC and pregnancy test. Both came out fine and I am not pregnant. I went to my PCP about one week ago for a regular check up and my dr office just called to inform me that i have a slight urinary tract infection and sent me antibiotics to the pharmacy to start taking post surgery. My question is, does having the UTI no matter how slight it is, complicate my surgery? thank you!
My blood work came back fine. It's just my UTI results keep coming back positive. I've been on antibiotics. First for 3days then for 10days. I went back to do a culture test They told me I had a little blood in my urine, and my ph was high. Now he gave me antibiotics for another 10days. Is this ever gonna clear up ? Can I get my surgery like that ?
