My breast augmentation surgery is on March 30th and I was wondering if there are any non-narcotic pain medications that can be prescribed that are not habit forming. I'm in recovery from a heroin addiction as well as a pill addiction to opiates and somas, so I have to be very careful with what I take. I can take baclofen and/or robaxin for muscle spasms and I was thinking of taking tramadol for pain but some of the comments I've read about tramadol make it sound like it can be dangerous as well.
I had my BA 2 days a go and so far so good but been prescribed algocalmin, augmentin and ketorol to be taken 2 times a day and tramadol when the pain is bad (usually at night) 1 time a day, is this a normal cocktail of drugs after a breast augmentation as my antibiotics is a 5 day course just seems like a lot to me?
I just found out I am 4 weeks pregnant, I under went a breast augmentation 2 weeks ago. I'm pretty sure the day of my surgery they did a pregnancy test. I was put on the following medications: tramadol for pain which I only took the first 3 days twice a day, zofran only once the first day, Flexeril just recently I took it twice the week before I found out I was pregnant, cephalexin for 10 days, and on my last day of the antibiotics I took Diflucan for a yeast infection from the antibiotics.
My PS said that his patients wake pain free and then it is upto me to stay on top of my pain meds. I woke & was in pain, had an injection-tramadol this did NOT help, stayed on top of my meds. Never felt any pain relief, even took a double dose of morphine again no relief. Stopped taking everything on day 5. Carrying on with pain each day & following PS guidelines for what I can't do but the pain isnt getting easier. AM for the first 3 hours & the whole time in bed at night I feel the worst pain!
