I recently had a breast augmentation(7month ago) i have had a difficult recovery as i had a hemotoma that had to be surgically removed. Im finally feeling back to normal but ive noticed this rash on my chest. I did always get some acne/hormal acne on my chest but i dont remember if it ever was this much. I just wanted to get some opinions on this. Since I didnt have a smooth recovery initially everything freaks me out.
Today while I showered I felt my scar bumpy for the first time ever since my breast augmentation 27 months ago. My left incision seems to be developing these same rash, and it's only on my incision on both sides. Lately I've been having pain on my left breast as well, and found out I have fibroadenomas on both sides. But here are pictures of incisions. I'm worried what should I do?
I am 4 weeks post op mastopexy/augmentation. I had my tapes taken off 3 days ago. Since then, the area has been incredibly itchy. Also, I have a small wound that has not completely closed and is slightly weeping. Does everything look okay in your opinion.
My plastic surgeon is hours away. I received my BA December 27th, and 5 days ago I started developing a rash around my incisions. It itches but no pain is associated with it. I was scared it may be fungal but it looks like dermatitis? Ive tried fungal cream for two days and that hasnt helped. Also scared a steroid cream would delay healing time. The glue came off two days ago. I am very worried about it, and I cant get into see my PS because of the weekend. Please help.
Hi im 5 weeks post op a couple of days ago my incisions became itchy the glue started to peel off I noticed a red rash, there is no discharge but seems irritated It has been hot here so I wondered if it was heat rash or perhaps my post surgery bra had been irritating the skin now the glue has almost all gone now Im worried it might be a infection Due to work and the upcoming bank hol I cant get to see my ps but I do have the number for out of hrs hops any advice is appreciated
The skin glue came off of my incision 2 days ago ( i am 14 days post op) and I have developed a rash on the incision where the glue was and even extending out. There is no drainage or heat, just really itchy. It acts like an allergic reaction. I started treating it with a hydrocortisone cream today. How often is it ok to apply it?
Hey, I had breast augmentation done 5 weeks ago, surgical glue was used. For the past (roughly) 2 weeks around my left incision has been SO itchy. There are tiny bumps around it as well, it looks like a rash. I don't have any other symptoms & haven't been using any body lotions on it. tried taking a daily allergy tablet to see if it'd help but it's still the same. attached a photo for you to see. thought maybe an allergic reaction? but surely it'd be the same on my other incision?
I am currently 3.5 years post op and about 3-4 weeks after having my BA Ive had chronic folliculitis. Ive seen multiple dermatologists, been on roaccutane for 2 years which cleared the folliculitis but as soon as I am taken off, the rash returns. The only other medication that provides temporary relief is cephlex (the rash also returns once I finish the course). Wondering if anyone as either gone through this or had a patient with a similar reaction that can help
On my wits end. After PS put on Micropo tape on incision area it started to itchy like crazy with small red bumps round it. PS told me to take the tape off which I did and it seemed to settle the itchiness. Then a week later, the rash spread its all across my breast fold and bright red. PS told me to see a doctor which I did yesterday, got steroid ointment and it seemed to spread the rash even more. Can someone please share opinion?
