I want to get a BA, but I have a strong family history of breast cancer (maternal gma had it 2x, maternal sister diagnosed at 34). I had a mammo and ultrasound 6 mos ago to check a lump, and genetic testing. Results from mammo were a 3 on the BI-RAD scale, and I do not carry the BRCA mutations. I just had a follow up ultrasound (waiting for results), but I'm hoping to have my BA done this summer. Do you think it's safe for me to have a BA, and how long after a BA is it safe to have a mammo?
Hi. I had breast augmentation for the first time 2 years ago and then again last year to create more symmetry. Lately I'm able to feel lumps and hardness inside the one breast and it seems to be higher up on my chest than the other. The other has dropped and feels as though it's my own but the other just doesn't feel the same. Could this just be scar tissue and nothing to worry about?
I have been researching breast augmentation an before getting my hopes up, i'd like to figure out if i am even an ideal candidate for this procedure? I have always sort of assumed that i may not be. I had 3 fibroademonas/ benign breast lumps biopsied (one almost totally removed) in my early 20's. (i'm now 40) with no changes since that time. Would appreciate any input i should keep in mind/whether or not i should even consider a BA.
Hello, I had an uplift with implants in 2015. I haven't had any knocks or falls but I have developed a painful swelling in my armpit the last few months and my left breast has developed multiple lumps and a large crater like dimple under the breast along with persistent redness. My clinic has since closed down and I am unable to contact them. Shall I head to my GP? I am unsure of where to go. Thank you.
Iam 10 weeks post opp breast augmentation and tummy tuck. Under my breast along the incision line there are a few hard lumps that hurt when I wear a bra or oush on them. Are they stitches poping through and will they go away??
Oct/16 I had a very painful left breast. Went to ER. With fever/chills blood work/ X-ray normal, ultra sound done on a later date. ER gave me Antibiotics for 10 days. Ultrasound fluid around a lump. 10 days of Antibiotics I felt better. Before I could barley stay awake, back hurt had a fever of 100. My PS mentioned ALCL. The lump biopsied negative. Still tired. I still have the lump in my breast with pains. Is it possible that I have ALCL? Would Antibiotics cleared up the fluid around the lump?
I noticed a lump behind my incision (you can only feel it, not see it) and it is about the size and feel of a jelly bean. I am 6 weeks post op. Inframmamary incision. My surgeon examined me and said it is most likely some scar tissue around an internal stitch that is refusing to dissolve. Will it go away? Could this be a sign that I will get capsular contracture, since its my immune systems doing? I hate massaging it as it makes me feel nauseous but Im trying my best.
