Hi im 5 weeks post op a couple of days ago my incisions became itchy the glue started to peel off I noticed a red rash, there is no discharge but seems irritated It has been hot here so I wondered if it was heat rash or perhaps my post surgery bra had been irritating the skin now the glue has almost all gone now Im worried it might be a infection Due to work and the upcoming bank hol I cant get to see my ps but I do have the number for out of hrs hops any advice is appreciated
Im just back from getting my breast augmentation done in Brussels, my surgery was performed yesterday afternoon and I was send back to the hotel with my scars not covered. The surgeon put the stitches and some glue on them so that I can shower straight away. Still Im concerned about this getting infected as there is nothing covering them. The sports bra that Im wearing (was told to wear it night and day for the next 6 weeks) has the elastic right on my scars, Should I protect them better?
I am 9 days post op breast augmentation and I developed red, inflamed and itchy swelling around both under breast incisions. They were fine the first 4 days and then I believe a sports bra irritated them. The PS also thinks Im having an allergic reaction to the glue used, so he removed it. It got worse after glue was removed (probably from all the touching). Yesterday I was prescribed a 21 day 4mg Medrol pack. When will this start to help? I feel like my incisions are covered in fire ants.
I am 9 days post op, I had a crease incision. My right breast seems to be healing properly with minimal bruising but my left one is extremely bruised but not too painful. I also noticed today one of the dissolvable stitches poking out through the glue. *cue instant panic* its also Saturday and my PS office is closed until Monday... what do I do!? First picture is of bruising second is of the stitch..
I am so frustrated . I had mastectomy and a tissue expander was placed in my right breast. I was healing very well. After two weeks I went to my PS and unfortunately cause the doctor removed some of the glue that my wound still needs time to heal . I went home and found a hole that is infected and ther Le was discharge showed infection. My breast swelled and was full of fluid. They removed the TE. My skin now is thin and I am crying a lot. Is there a chance to strengthen my skin
the dark surgical glue that is around my areola seems to be ok, but i noticed that on the bottom of my nipples on the lower part of my boob on both sides there is this clear glue substance that is all around, i am not sure what it is, it seems like glue, it has the texture of glue and clear, i am getting a bad allergic reaction to that clear glue, i have no clue why glue was placed on the bottom part, not the crease , above the crease just the bottom of my boob, i have hives, red itchy.
I went to my breast augmentation & Donut lift post op appointment this morning (surgery was yesterday.) The wrap was removed and I was told that I do not need tape around incision site and that there is glue . This makes me uneasy as all my friends had to wear tape for weeks. Do I need tape, is the glue enough? How does it stay clean
I had a breast augmentation 1 month ago, out of state. My surgeon used dissolving stitches and closed the skin on top with surgical glue. At my 1 week post op a nurse cut what was sticking out at the time. However, I still have stitches sticking out at the inner sides of each incision. Do I need to go to a DR? I cannot go to my surgeon because he is out of state.
So my doctor had glued my indecision shut instead of stitching them which is all good but now the glue from it is getting stuck on my surgical bra and I keep having to slowly pull it off , and it doesn't hurt (at least right now) but I'm scared that after awhile it's going to start to get irritated or pull on the insision. Any thoughts?
I am 4 weeks post op and I have a section of glue that looks like its embedded in causing redness on my breast incision line. Anyone heard similar or how/when it will come off as I think the scar cant fully close until it is removed. Ps im in United Kingdom
