I had a breast reduction a week before my 15th birthday. I was about a DD/DDD. My PCP convinced my mom that I should get it. I wanted a C or big C. I got a small B big A cause he said I will have kids soon and they will get bigger. I had complications after the surgery on my left breast. I needed a drainage pump there they were scabbing around the nipple which caused discoloration. Scars are huge. In my 30s now I hate them. I'm very insecure about them. I don't know what to do or where to start.
I had tuberous breast and got them corrected with a mild lift on both nipples. Im starting to hate the shape and ridges the scaring has created. I wish I had never done it. I use scar away strips EVERDAY for the past year and its made the scaring less THICK and the pink discoloration is gone but there is this hard ridged edge around my nipples that looks horrible. Is there something I can do about this?
Im back with more questions after loosing my battle with the elements and a sun lamp bed. Now that I am in the throes of a reverse swimsuit line 3rd degree sunburn, I am wondering about discoloration of the scar tissue that still remains under the blisters. Could I tattoo over the scars if this develops into frutation?
I am 8 days post opp with little swelling and hardly any bruising except around the incision. Should i cover the incisions? I get spray tans regularly, but understand why my surgeon would not want my skin discolored at my next appt, but am dying to get one for my birthday. I have surgical glue instead of steristrips if that helps!
I had a small amount of hypertrophic scarring on my right breast where I had an inframammary ba. I first had a minor revision and the hypertrophic scar returned. So I then, began kenalog injections. I had 2. When my doctor checked it again, he said it had flattened and we should not continue. I have severe discoloration that extends beyond the original scar. He said it will go away with time, as my skin is still reacting to the steroid. Is this true? Its been about 3 weeks since last injection.
I had breast augmentation 7/23/13. I had my areoles decreased also. Under my left areola is an uneven, very white patch of scar tissue. It looks like the bottom of my areola is discolored white. Very noticeable. And it looks like the stitching is uneven. What can I do about this? I have biocorneum scar cream but was wondering if continued use will help or what product I need to buy to help. Also, I am wanting to tan. Will tanning help it or make it worse?
I recently had a breast augmentation and made a large jump from 300ccs to 875ccs. Two weeks after my surgery I developed a discolored area underneath my right breast. The area has gotten worse over the course of 2months, my skin went from white (blanched) to purple to black and scabby. My PS told me that it is probably one of the most bizarre things he has seen. I have seen a dermatologist who said the tissue was necrotic, but necrosis normally sets in 2-3 days after surgery. I'm very worried.
