About a couple years ago i went through with extracting 4 bicuspids and putting braces on. I'm now at around the 2 year mark my gaps are almost fully closed. My face hasn't really changed as far as I can tell. My chin is still forward, my lip profile is still good and my jawline is still there. My doctor told me that I had a lot of soft tissue and that I shouldn't have to worry about losing my profile or bone structure. Is this completely true? Will I be able to age okay?
I got my braces last year i was 21to treat a mild underbite my orthodontist extracted my two upper premolar now after a year I can see some changes my top teeth are coming over but my gaps aren't closed and my orthodontist use coil springs but it's not moving that fast and my jaw looks same
I've had braces for 2 years now. I'm 20 years old. My main concern was my overbite. Nothing changed. I'm so unhappy and my ortho recommended removing two upper teeth and then pulling my teeth back from there. I would have no problem doing this but after reading people's experiences online and them being unhappy with their facial changes, I'm so worried and stressed, thinking about it is eating me alive. Can I correct at least half of my bite without extracting? What should I do? Opinions please!
...and now I regret not taking the surgery as now my profile looks very much like the one in the picture. What could be my options to achieve a more attractive side profile and particularly fix the jutting chin?
