I have extra fang teeth in my gums in the front of my mouth and an overbite. I feel like braces would help but I'm unsure especially since I'm overall satisfied with my teeth excluding the extras. How would my dentist be able to move my adult teeth to their right spot where my baby teeth current are? How long would this take?
Hi, I'm 22 years old and currently studying at University in New Zealand. I've always been conscious of my teeth (especially my fangs!!!). I'm interested in what types of treatment would be available to me and which would be the most appropriate for my situation. I'm also interested in opinions for how long treatment may take for my teeth and what the cost may be. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance! Jess
I used to have 2 fangs sticking out on the top of my teeth but my old dentist decided to pull out the 2 teeth next to my fangs. I got braces by him but I switched dentist because his braces kept falling off.I realized later, that he wasn't even a licensed orthodontist. My new ortho who is great, and said I didn't need the 2 teeth pulled out on the top. I got my braces off, and my teeth are straight, but my teeth don't show when I smile anymore like they used too. What can I do to fix this?
So, yesterday My orthodontist had to burn/scrape away some parts of my gums that where covering my impacted (as in, they weren't growing correctly) fangs so they can be ready to be pulled down in a month. So, the result of that are holes where you can see the fang that is growing. It looks quite grotesque (lol) and I was wondering if that is going to cover itself. (I don't want to be a man with holes inside my gums XD)
I have these vampire fangs from extremely crooked canines, but the rest of my teeth are almost perfectly straight. I've had braces before but didn't wear the retainer afterwards so my teeth overcrowded and now I'm a vampire. How long would it take to correct this problem and straighten my teeth? I am now 18 years old and had braces around age 10.
Over a full brace however I feel this is a bit extreme giving the fact it's just the one tooth..would composite bonding be effective in this case? Or any other procedure or is a full brace my only option?
I'm having thoughts about my braces not being able to fix my teeth correctly. Gap between my two front teeth is slightly moved to the right and in a year I was unable to see any results so I'm wondering if its even possible to fix. Also I'm concerned about is that I don't have the right fang which can explain why my gap between my front teeth is tilted to the right side, but my doctors aren't considering to put an implant. They are moving my wisdom teeth as a replacement for my first molars.
