Hello Sir, I am 38 year old male and having protruding lips and teeth. I never felt confident while smiling because of this and always try to close my mouth on photos. I would like to fix this through braces or invaslign. Am I a good candidate for braces ? All I wanted is to push my upper lip area back(its bulged now) and hope that will fix my size of upper lips. I can attach my photo if possible.
36 yo female. Prior extraction orthodontic work as a child/teen. Unilateral posterior crossbite causing grinding, tooth sensitivity, swollen gums, jaw pain, headaches. Is it possible to fix this problem without surgery with braces/appliances alone? Any known providers in Louisiana?
Treatment plan for Crown veneers 10 upper, 10 lower, gum contouring and more than likely a few root canals would have to be included. They've expressed that it may not sort my bite but it would certainly improve my smile. Or 2yrs with fixed metal :-( Pro's and Cons with both but as it stands both are big risks. I think due to my age and past dental work, I wouldn't say keeping my natural teeth is my first priority. I would more than APPRECIATE your suggestions comments, thank you in advance.
I completed Invisalign two years ago. I was not completely satisfied with the results although it did straighten my teeth more than before. Im considering traditional braces to fix the position of my two front teeth; corrret my overbite; and corrrect my misaligned midline. Will traditional braces do it? If so, how long would you anticipate me in braces. Im 39 years old.
I am 39 yo, I have tooth extraction last year due to really bad decay, all on top teeth ,tooth number #3, #13 and #14, dentist suggest partial denture, i did not do it, is it possible to move the molar forward to close the gap on tooth #3 (i have tooth #1 and #2) and #14 (i have #15) , leave the gap in #13 for mini implant later. thank you so much for your help.
I had a consultation with an orthodontist that feels braces won't correct my profile. He said braces could improve my bite by pushing my front teeth in front of my bottom teeth (with the possible use of reverse headgear) but he doesn't feel it will affect my profile. He offered veneers but I'm not interested in that. Was really hoping braces would work. What are my options?
They are starting to gap at 38 years old and I'm wondering if this is normal. It's noticeable to the point food is getting stuck in my teeth and it's starting to become unnerving. I don't even have cavities so is this normal? I remember having pain in my gums last year for several months but it went away and wasn't concerning enough to me. I faithfully get my teeth checked and cleaned every six months for years. The only thing that has changed is a new diagnosis of sleep apnea. Related? Thanks.
Im 41, have an over bite, grind my teeth and have the type of tmj that is muscular. I like the size and shape of my teeth but some of my teeth are crooked and the overbite is making me look a little older than my age. There is a dentist that offers a dental facelift that is teeth straightening without braces that fix over bite and tmj etc. I assume he uses crowns and veneers to fix and lengthen one's bite and jaw since it takes 2 weeks. Should I get braces or go with the 2 week guy?
Hi, I'm 37 years old. I still have my right baby cuspid and the adult tooth has come in above it. I noticed the baby tooth has a hole in the bottom of it and it's becoming discolored, which now I am thinking I have to have removed. What options are there to ensure my adult canine will move into place or are braces necessary?
