I had Botox for the first time in my crows feet 5 months ago, swelling under my eyes/top of cheek bones occurred 2 weeks later and has still not gone! Ive never been so depressed about my appearance in my life, I look about 20 years older and no one can help me, Ive tried absolutely everything and nothing is helping
I am 6 mos out from crows feet & under eye botox w/ swelling & under eye bags when I smile. I went to a cred. dermatology office. Good results from Botox before, this was the first time I had under eye injections. Antihistamines, ice rollers, and lymphatic massage dont help. I took a photo right before injections so Im sure it was the Botox. I was hoping this would resolve when the Botox wore off but no luck. Im scared, is this permanent? What caused this? Is surgery now necessary?
I woke up a few weeks ago to one eyelid appearing lower on my face, almost hooded. Im 23, so I didnt expect sudden wrinkles or anything of the sort. A couple days later I noticed some muscle soreness. I also went to my PCP to rule out anything serious, and they said I looked fine and it seemed like swelling. How long should I wait before I investigate ways to resolve this cosmetically? Could Botox or filler help? Before and after attached.
I have random swelling that appeared on both eyebrows, started with the left and progressed to the right and now it appears that both eyebrows are protruding. Ive been to several plastic surgeons for evaluations but still not sure what the cause/problem is and had blood work done that came out normal. What could be some possible causes of this and could Botox help?
Hello. I had Botox injected directly into my lower lids last July. I developed swelling of the lower lids. The doctor who peformed the procedure indicated it would go away when the Botox effects wore off but the problem has persisted for 6 months though my crows feet are visible again. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether this swelling can last this long and can anyone offer a good treatment/solution? Thank you!
Got a lip flip 5 months ago. Waited 15 minutes, didn't experience any of the informed side effects within a few days, except pain / swelling in my left leg. Within weeks I got flue-like symptoms here and there that I brushed off. Got progressively worse, weak breaths, fevers, fatigue, fog, dizziness, weak / poor coordination (extreme migraines, passed after 2-3 months). I'm still sick. It's dismissed as fatigue syndrome / mental illness. Could botox be the culprit? Even such a small amount?
My face will swell up with no reason. Once it was probably from Botox on day 3 but others times the reaction comes months after. I have been getting Botox for over 5 years with no reaction before. Last filler in cheeks was 6/2021. Juvaderm. I got ct scan of face and no sinus or teeth infections. No idea if it is an reaction to the Covid vaccine. I'm just frustrated because I don't know the cause. But it feels like filler is having a reaction. Photo is from yesterday. Last Botox 7/22
I'm trying to figure out what the swelling is from. I had one doctor tell me it was sinusitis and then another test me for it (negative result) and say that they couldn't appreciate any swelling. I take Flonase and 180 mg of fexofenadine. I've also tried loratadine, diphenhydramine, and cetirizine. Is this an age thing? Fat accumulation?
I'm having a delayed reaction of non-painful nodules, redness & bumps @ injection sites, & swelling in all places I had HA fillers (Vo) injected and some places I had Botox injected. Vollure and Botox: 6/29/18 (but had prev injections back to 7/2017) 1st nodule: 9/10/18 but escalated fast to nodules all over my face. 2 rounds of Pred. 100mg Minocycline injection of Hylenex Is there anyone in the NYC area that is experienced/has treated this type of delayed reaction with success? Thank you!
