In receiving a botox injection in the area above my eyes, the syringe leaked fluid (botox) into my eye. What damage exactly could this accident cause? The doctor did not seem to be concerned when it happened or did not want to take responsibility. Ive been having eyesight issues since then
Eyelid drooping began 4 days after having botox for the first time (to II lines and around eyes but not to horizontal forehead lines) and became progressively worse over the next 2 days, at which time the eyebrow raised on that side only. My doctor says my muscles are moving symmetrically, indicating that the drooping is not due to botox leaking into a muscle but rather to the trauma of the needle. Does this make sense? How long will it take to resolve? Will eye drops help?
If some botox is released from the syringe as it is being moved from one area on the face to another, and the liquid Botox drips into the eye could it freeze or relax the muscles near or around the eye area?
