I had 20 units of botox (frown lines @9am) Ive had botox in the past with no bruising/swelling My derm said after the first injection I was bleeding a lot, had I used aspirin? I had not, but I had Motrin the day prior. Almost w/in 5 minutes of the injections my left side above eyebrow looked bruised at both injection sites. It has continued to darken, is swollen and sore! Will these blood vessels return to normal? Could there be complications? Why is the swelling worse now,12 hours later?
I got botox injection a month ago for jaw slimming purpose (25 units each side). Now I have this little lump in my right jaw around the area where I got injection. No pain and cant tell by looking at my face. I can only feel the little lump when pressing the area. I did some search and it may be hematoma? Is this a side effect of Botox and how should I treat it? Will it go away eventually?
I recently received 28 units to forehead and crows feet. I never had a reaction the other 3 times of injections. This time I left the facility with a hematoma by my eye. In 4 days I was very ill with extreme muscle fatigue and pain to arms, legs, back and neck. Trip to ER r/o viruses. Now seeing neurologist 3 weeks later. Symptoms slowly improving. He is testing for many neuromuscular diseases. R/O ed many.
3 days ago i had 30 units of botox split between 2 shots in my left masseter to help with tmj pain and muscle asymmetry. Last night i noticed when i clenched my jaw a huge lump comes out from my masseter. Did the doctor miss? It seems the muscle is still pretty active. Or is it hematoma? There is no discoloration.
The doctor who injected me with botox pressed down really hard on my injection sites (crow's feet, glabellar region, upper forehead) immediately after he injected me. Hours later, l notice a hematoma on my upper forehead, and some slight bruising by my eyes. I have been injected for years, and thought that pressure should be avoided to minimize the possibility of migration, especially by the eyes. Is this unusual practice?
I had Botox in my Chin 24 hrs ago and now have a bubble when I purse my lips/raise my lower lip. There were 2x injection sites, and one has a small blue bruise dot. It is not painful, and it feels like fluid. It feels exactly like a blister (but not as fragile) I've had Botox previously w/ no adverse effect. In this session I also had Botox in the mandible and a small amount of touch up filler to the nose/lips. Is this a hematoma? Will it go away on its own? Does it need aspiration? Thank you!
I had 45 units of botox in the glabella, brows and crows feet. About 6 hours after I had a hematoma on my forehead that lasted for 4 days, he must have hit a blood vessel. Then the right side of my face started feeling very numb, down through my cheek and jaw, and then to my right hand and leg. Now it is day 5 and my ears are ringing and one of them is starting to hurt fairly bad. Please do not respond by saying this is not botox, I know it is! I have never had any health issues until this!
I decided to have my first Botox procedure done after diligent research, and I chose a Board-certified plastic surgeon to administer the Botox injection for my under eye creping. The doctor said he hit an artery/nerve, which most likely caused immediate swelling and hematoma on the area. I did everything I can--ice, elevation, topical and oral arnica, applied heat, massaged it lightly, and put vitamin gels--but 8 weeks later, the bruising and swelling are still there. Will this ever go away, and what should I do now?
