I cant seem to find any research on this subject. I had jaw botox and wondering if a high protein intake of 70-100g daily might affect my botox results or cause it to last shorter than usual. Types of proteins are all from fish, eggs and casein protein so I have not been using my jaw muscles at all since the start of the treatment and not even chewing with my back teeth anymore as Ive almost lost all of my jaw strength.
Hi, i had touch up today with botox, under brow and glabellar. Right afterwards i, within 20 min I was heading to a calm dinner, no party, i carried my computer and a shoulderbag. Unfortenately i had the wrong adress to her and had to walk about 25 min off and on carrying this, about 13 pounds together. I walked quite slow though. No cabs was around. Im very worried now about spreading since it was so soon after and weight, walk etc. Should i be?? Thanks so much for any help!
Hi. I had botox to my upper and lower lip for smokers lines 3 days ago and noticed the effects within 24 hours and am still noticing them now day 3....it kicked in earlier than most and i am an emotional wreck hoping it doesnt continue to work for much longer as i am already having difficulty eating and talking and am noticing sagging at on corner of my mouth. How long will it keep getting worse and will it wear off faster around my mouth than other areas?
I had noticed that my chin was looking weird and a slight indent when I smiled. Now 3 weeks later I'm lisping, my lower lip doesn't move and to open my mouth wide to eat a sandwich is nigh impossible, depending on the sandwich. Not to mention the bottom of my chin still looks like an orange peel.
I was injected with 4 units of Botox. Two injections on each side of my philtrum columns. This was given to help raise my upper lip. I am 53. I am now concerned with eating and shaping words. I cannot hold a spoon or fork between my lips in order to get the food in my mouth properly. I think this is causing me to swallow too much food and it's making me worried. I was injected two days ago. Any advice?
I have muscular dystrophy. I have only been able to open my mouth millimeters for 20 years. I am tired of not being able to get food in my mouth. I've consulted many docs about botox to relax the muscle. They've been hesitant. I go back to new neuro in may & I am ready to say if they don't do it I will find someone who will. Do you have reservations with my request? I am worried about my oral health, dentists have said I am doing good. But they can't get bite x-rays, so they really don't know.
I am a 50 year-old female and am very self-concious about the aging look around my mouth. I also have wrinkles as well. I understand that lines and wrinkles cannot be treated with Botox, but can the the mouth movement that accentuates the indentations when puckering, eating, et cetera be treated?
