Blinking eyes results in mass movement (zygomatic, buccinator, mentalis). Have had botox targeting those muscles but affects overall symmetry/smile. I have e also had botox around the eyes to reduce the eye narrowing -- more synkinesis). Are there solutions though to slow down the blink: My lower eye lid moves up when I blink on affected side? Does botox cause dry eye ( more blinking). Is there a specific muscle to target to reduce the involuntary blink (reducing mass movement).
I am looking to reduce the force of my blink. One eye blinks hard, the other eye does not close fully and stays open in the sun, etc. (nerve damage from brain tumor). Is there a way to use Botox to make my eye bigger and not blink fully or as strong to match the weak side? I actually think the strong side is hyper active to compensate for the weak side. In other parts of my face, Botox has been success in reducing this hyperactivity. Is it possible for my eye?
Hi doc please dont tell me to get seen I want your opinion on this. So I had a bit of botox under my eyes and forehead so I couldnt really blink at all for months till it wearer off the only time my eyes shut were when I slept or forced myself to blink anyway my question is from not blinking much at all in months would that cause the meimobian glands to block? Because mine have and Ive never had dry eyes or eyes problems before please tell me what you think guys. Thanks a bunch.
Hi I got botox 8 months ago & a week after it happened all Ive had is problems dry burning eyes I cant blink at all. bags under my eyes. botox was under my eyes in the inner corners & on the bunny.could my ocular muscle have not functioned back to normal yet? is that why I wouldnt be blinking? Im scared Im never goin to naturally blink again. What do you think has happened? Im 26. have had botox a few times.but first time together & the first time it was done under my eyes in the corners.
I have had long standing synkinesis. The most troubling is that when I blink, my DAO, DLI, Mentalis and zygomatic major twitch. It is pretty strong mass movement. I have been doing Botox for years and the results are mediocre as it affects my smile and regular mouth movements. I have seen experts. But I am wondering if I should be trying botox around my eyes instead? Perhaps stopping the constant blinking? It does seem as if I also have excessive blinking. What doctor would I see?
