Im a 43 year old woman who got my botox shot for migraines about 3 months ago. I got a migraine and shoulder pain right away from it and the pain hasnt subsided. It will decrease in intensity for an hour or two each day which gives me so much hope! My Neurologist told me it has nothing to do with the Botox and I am imagining the pain. I am losing hope. Is it from the Botox. I have been taking NSAIDs like crazy and using my Cefaly, but still no relief. Please help.no one else will.
I have been getting botox injections for migraines for at least 8 years. I have my dermatologist do the injections. He injects the area between my eyes and above my eyebrows and in my forehead. I have never had a problem before. And it does help to reduce the frequency and severity of my migraines. About six months ago, I began to notice vertical lines in both my eyebrows. And the area around the lines are lighter in color. My eyelids do not droop, but my eyebrows seem to be lower and less wide. Are the injections causing this?
My PCP told me I should get Botox for my migraines since the past treatments we tried havent worked and I already have the authorization from my insurance. Im 22 and I have a very, very deep wrinkle between my eyebrows and it is now permanently furrowed even with no movement, so it looks like Im always angry. Will the Botox procedure for the migraine fix that area automatically or will I need to go get cosmetic Botox afterwards? Its only on the left side between my eyebrows.
This is for my son, he is 20 suffers from migraines. 3 months ago he got botox. 2 weeks ago he started feeling dizzy when he stood. But now he turned his head to answer someone and he stumbled backwards and fell to the gound. Does these side effects happen because the botox is wearing off. He does go for his next treatment with the neurologist this week. Or should he go to the family doctor.
I had botox for migraine as a medical procedure in hospital over 3 months ago.. My eyebrows dropped and had no arch but 1 eye the skin dropped almost covering my eye.. I have a confidence issue and this has made it 100times worse. I was told that after 3 months it should go back to normal.. But it hasn't. I am able to move my eyebrows but the overhang of skin has remained.. I'm really starting to panic.. Please tell me this will go back to normal
HiI! So, I've gotten Botox for chronic migraines for years, but my new injector does fewer injections in the forehead (as per her guidelines) : one between the nose, two (symmmetrical) on the brow, and two or four (?) on the absolute top of my forehead where my hairline begins. I'm accustomed to more. Will having such high and few injections mean that my forehead creases will re-emerge? I don't want to suddenly look much older!
Hi, I am finally getting Botox for my chronic migraine tomorrow. But I had all of my wisdom teeth removed on June 26. Is it safe to have Botox in my jaw area, or should I wait for that and just get it everywhere else? II am still recovering as I also had a large cyst removed Thanks!
Ive suffered from chronic migraines for twenty years. In the past, I was treated with Botox injections to treat my migraines. It helped BUT I stopped due to the pain of the procedure. I must be usual it is NOT a mild stinging pain. Those 30 plus injections HURT. Especially those administered to the scalp, neck, and shoulder. My doctor wants me to treat me again with Botox ( nothing else works). What can I do to alleviate the pain ice is not as effective with 30 different site injectio.
