I have to vent. Just read in US Weekly (self-admission: a guilty pleasure) that to "Be your bare-able best" by valentine's day you should go crazy getting prepared. No, we're not talking shopping for sexy silk boxers. It's all about preparing our bodies to get naked by making big changes in our daily routine.
Their advice for 2 weeks prior to V-day:
- EAT RIGHT Nix sugary foods to whittle your waistline and give skin a healthy glow...
- SWEAT HARD Do four 30-minute weekly cardio sessions to "safely lose 2 to 3 pounds by the 14th"
- Use a daily cellulite cream such as La Prairie Cellular Body Contouring Complex.
Are they kidding? I'm going to get my "best" body in 2 weeks from a $135 cellulite cream or working out even more strenously? I'll stick to mood lighting.
