Sun protection tip: Sunscreen Towelettes

We all know we should apply sunscreen lotions to protect our skin from the sun’s damaging UV rays. But how often do we not do it because it’s well, a hassle? More times than I can count I’m afraid. Now there’s a solution. Sunscreen towelettes.

Sunscreen towelettes, for for one-time use, offer the same protection against the sun’s harmful UV rays that sunscreen lotions do. Like many people, I find sunscreen lotions to be messy to put on, but I love using these sunscreen towelettes because they are easy. They are really convenient to carry around, you can keep a few in the car, your backpack or purse, or in the diaper bag. Even kids think they are fun to use.

Most sunscreen towelettes are SPF30 and approved by the FDA. They contain enough sunscreen lotion to cover the face, neck, arms, lower legs, and hands of an adult. They are waterproof and quickly absorbed into the skin without leaving any oily, greasy, or sticky residue.

While we don’t endorse any products on RealSelf, these sunscreen towelettes get pretty good reviews:

  • Desert Essence Sunscreen Towelettes, SPF 30
  • Smart Shield Sunscreen Towelettes–also contain natural (not DEET) insect repellent
  • SUN X SPF30 Sunscreen Towelettes
  • SUNSCREENZ SPORT Sunscreen Towelettes
