Sofia Vergara In Favor of Plastic Surgery, Considered Breast Reduction

How many times have you heard a beautiful celebrity claim she would never have plastic surgery and thought, yeah, easy for you to say? Although she’s a bombshell, don’t count Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara among these women. In an interview with CNN, Vergara says that she’s “not against [cosmetic surgery] at all.”

Vergara’s refreshing perspective comes with some advice, too. “I think that you should go into [plastic surgery] more thinking that you want to look beautiful than trying to look young. Because I don’t really think that plastic surgery can make you look young. It can make you look prettier.”

That’s some good food for thought: you can always look better, but you can never actually be younger. Vergara herself is a good example of someone who looks her age (39), yet is also attractive… and not just “for a 39-year-old.”

While Vergara doesn’t look down on plastic surgery, that doesn’t mean she’s had it herself. She did consider it, however, when a publicist suggested she needed to have a breast reduction in order to be taken seriously in the entertainment industry. (Sounds like the opposite of most Hollywood tales!)

Vergara doesn’t regret not listening to the publicist as her buxomness is now “a big part of [her character] Gloria.”

That’s not to say she hasn’t made any aesthetic change, though. Born a blonde, Vergara opted to dye her hair darker in order to correspond with America’s perception of Latinas. In fact, going brunette helped to boost her career.  See? Even women as stunning as Vergara have to undergo beauty modifications to meet societal expectations. I’ll leave it up to you as to whether that’s comforting or horrifying!

Oh please this woman is full of it. Have you seen the trailer for "New years eve" her face looks like she's been under the knife.
