Coverblend makeup for rosaceaPerhaps my Bobbi Brown tips are adequate for covering up age spots, but what can you do if you have much darker and more visible skin blemishes? Need to cover a now-not-so desired tattoo or a flare up of Rosacea? Dark eye circles? Perhaps the product I ran across today is your answer--it's called CoverBlend by Exuviance.

The CoverBlend line claims to be long-lasting (8 hours), waterproof and smudge proof--essential to good covering in the Summer. The products also include Alpha Hydroxy's which increase skin cell turnover and PHAs that hydrate. The CoverBlend products run about $20 and include:

  • CoverBlend Corrective Leg and Body Makeup-SPF 18
  • CoverBlend Concealing Treatment Makeup-SPF 20
  • CoverBlend Anti-Aging Finishing Powder
  • CoverBlend Multi Function Concealer-SPF 15

As stated in a CoverBlend press release, the make-up artist for Sex And The City, Judy Chin, declares that "CoverBlend foundation and concealers are a staple in our makeup kits....The versatility in coverage is what's so appealing."

Since it comes in 14 different shades, I wouldn't recommend buying your first CoverBlend online. I did find it at Amazon, if you're looking for it. Official website for CoverBlend is here.

Somewhat related, there's good news if you're afflicted with ruddy cheeks or redness caused by Rosacea. The U.S. FDA approved a drug called Oracea (made by a firm called CollaGenex) that's a once-a-day treatment for Rosacea, an inflammatory skin condition that affects 14 million Americans
