If there's the slimmest chance that Catherine Zeta-Jones is really getting results from Elizabeth Arden skin care and not just a hefty paycheck for being the brand's spokesmodel, I'm ready to start using the line. Heck, she's not far off from my age, and I'm sure her skin must undergo a lot more stress and external damage--all factors contributing to the classic signs of aging: dull complexion, sagging skin, fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles around the eyes.

Recently, Shape magazine found two products that claim to help restore skin's protective barrier--and help give skin a fighting chance against the signs of aging. And one of them is from the brand Ms. Zeta-Jones touts. Here, two rejuvenating skin treatments featured in the magazine's June 2008 issue:

1. Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Gold Ultra Restorative Capsules

2. Philosophy When Hope is not Enough Replenishing Oil

Have you tried these restorative skin treatments? WiWi: Was it Worth it?

It's great to see that other skin care products - like "When Hope is not enough" - contain anti-inflammatory omega 3 fats. But omega 3 fats are only a small part of the ingredients. Personally, I'm going to stick with Spectrum 100% organic flaxseed oil with algae-derived DHA. It costs $9 for an 8 oz bottle at Whole Foods, and the stuff works better on inflammation and red spots on my face than anything else I've found. I use it at night and use Keys Solar RX in the morning.
