Got dull skin, blemishes, acne scars, and uneven skin texture troubling you? Chances are you've eyed a few exfoliators or at-home microdermabrasion kits at the drug store--and those can be a quick and easy fix to wake up skin or improve its texture. But which to choose?
Is it an eyeshadow? Is it a skin treatment? Answer: Perhaps both.
Mommy belly, mommy tummy, baby belly. There are plenty of cute names for it, but somewhere around 3 months after giving birth, you realize that the beaming pride you once felt for that belly bulge is now a source of unwelcome self-consciousness. No doubt about it, post-pregnancy belly is something that bothers all mothers--it's frustrating, hard to lose, and it often seems like there just aren't options for women who don't want to undergo the knife.
So, enter the Belly Bandit.
We're just over the halfway point of summer--and if you're like me, while I'm big on shaving, I'm also a bit over it. So I started thinking again about alternatives to twin- (or triple-) blade hair removal. I've used the no!no! (and reviewed it as well) and, while it works, I truthfully don't usually have the time for it. But there are others to try as well...so if you're looking for an in-home hair removal device, Beauty Cred has 3 to offer up--one for every budget:
More and more it seems advanced anti-aging skin care is no longer just for women. We recently saw the H/E Minerals line from Jane Iredale, and now we're taking notice of Gessato Face Treatment Serum.
If you think Zeno's hand-held zit zapper is handy, get ready for something even handier--the next generation of the Zeno acne-clearing device. Zeno has launched a more convenient and portable size of its popular hand-held--this one fits more easily in pockets and small purses, and all it needs are 2 AAA batteries.
Zeno Mini was launched by Tyrell, Inc. on August 3. The innovative acne-clearing device joins three other Zeno zit zappers that are already on the market: Zeno Classic, Zeno PRO, and Zeno MD (available only through partner physicians). The Zeno works by emitting a controlled dose of heat directly onto the blemish via a metal pad.
Now that Zeno's acne-clearing device has gotten even more handy, it looks like putting acne bouts under control will just be a matter of putting your hand in your pocket or purse, pulling out Zeno Mini, and zapping pimples anytime, anywhere--though the Zeno Mini seems most convenient for travel vs. whipping it out on a date...
Have you tried Zeno Acne Mini? Let us know if it worked for you!
Ok, I'm certainly not gullible when it comes to radio spots for skin care. But if you live in the NYC-metro area and you tune into 1010-WINS for your breaking news you must have heard the ads for Hydroxatone. There's simply no way to avoid them. And they're actually quite compelling if you're driving a mini-van with 5 occupied car seats, barely showered, early in the morning with take-along coffee in hand. As you listen, you hear husbands talking about their wives with such "wow, she's amazing" adulation--and all because of Hydroxatone--that you start to fall for it.
Ingrown hair is formed when hair grows sideways into the skin or curls back instead of growing out of the skin. It often announces its presence with an unsightly and painful bump and appears in areas where hair removal is attempted, such as face, legs, and pubic region. Getting rid of ingrown hair is not exactly easy, and it can take weeks for an ingrown hair to fall off despite treatments or exfoliation.
Anyone who wants to get gorgeous, dark, and well-defined lashes is always on the lookout for a great mascara to get the look, at least for a day. But what if you can have those hot lashes for 30 days? It may be hard to believe, but that is just what Colorsport 30 Day Mascara promises to do for you.
I'm one of those people who not only likes to know the real deal about most things (ie, not the hype) but also I'm a believer in giving credit where credit is due. So when I started to look behind the all-out promotional blitz for Procter & Gamble's Aquacurrent Science, I couldn't help but dig a bit to find out about this Nobel Prize-winning technology.
And here's what you should know: A gentleman by the name of Peter C. Agre (at right) received the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 2003 for his discovery of the aquaporin water channels.
