Bizarre Colorado Murder-for-Hire Plot: Desperate For Breast Implants

KOAA News in Fountain, Colorado reported on a botched murder-for-hire in which 18-year-old Nikita Weis offered two men $7000 to break into his mother's home and kill her, then steal her money and car.

As Ms. Hyun Weis was cooking dinner for her son, a man dressed in black entered her house and began beating her with a baseball bat. When she intentionally set off her car alarm, the hired attackers fled, accompanied by her son and the flat-chested girlfriend. Ms. Weis was able to escape to a neighbor's house and call 911.

How To Achieve The "Maximal Benefit" From Botox And Fillers

El Paso plastic surgeon Richard D. Reynolds offered his valuable input to the El Paso Times last month, with some important things to know about Botox, dermal fillers and the combination of the two.

Fake Doctor Arrested By Real Police, Taken To Real Jail

Things are not as they seem at an Orlando, Florida medical spa. 25-year-old Carlos J. Delgado was arrested there after authorities performed a warranted search of the facility.

All of the Orlando television news stations reported on Thursday that "customers had complained that he was impersonating a doctor." Delgado has been accused of performing Botox injections, laser treatments, and tummy tucks without a valid medical license.

The Radiant Med Spa, where Delgado was arrested, is located at 150 Cranes Roost Blvd in Altamonte Springs, Florida, a suburb of Orlando. Authorities are investigating the case and seeking other patients who may have had cosmetic procedures performed under the care of Delgado.

Allergan's Giving Away Botox In Minneapolis

At the October 14, 2008 Freedom of Expression event in Minneapolis, Allergan promises that attendees will receive a voucher for a complimentary Botox treatment at the Botox provider of their choice. Actress Virginia Madsen is hosting the event in partnership with the League of Women Voters, which will be held at the Pantages Theater downtown.

Canadian Courts Toss Out Silicone Breast Implant Lawsuit

A class action lawsuit by 29,500 Canadians with Dow Corning breast and Vitek TMJ implants against Health Canada has been tossed out by the Ontario Court of Appeals.

Plaintiffs argued that Health Canada was negligent in allowing Dow Corning and other implant manufactures to sell what the plaintiffs claimed to be faulty implants that leaked silicone into women’s bodies causing health problems. The Court ruling was very clear in defining that manufacturers of the devices were responsible for the safety and reliability of the silicone implants, not Health Canada (the Canadian regulatory agency).
