RealSelf and Lifestyle Lift reach settlement

Today the U.S. District Court in Eastern Michigan signed off on the settlement reached on the lawsuit by Lifestyle Lift against RealSelf.com as well as the counterclaim made by RealSelf.com.

Both parties reached mutually acceptable terms and I'm excited to get full attention back to helping consumers share their stories related to Was it worth it ("WiWi").

I would like to see pictures .Iam seriously considering this procedure .But now im really not sure.

Boo, Please in the name of all that is holy, DO NOT DO THIS!!!!This is a torturing nightmare you will never wake up from. Mine was in Feb 2010 in Troy,Mi. with the great Dr. Cavaliere. My face and ears are permanently scarred and already the wrinkles are back. I paid $7,650. I have been to a Plastic Surgeon Specialist, but there is nothing he can do to correct what was done to me. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures, but please believe me and all the others that have been through this Lifestylelift is a fraudulent and money hungry business that prey on men and women with no self esteem or ones who hope for just a little better look about themselves. RUN DON'T WALK away from these quacks and find yourself a truely qualified plastic surgeon and research research research. LOL Sassy 7858

why can I no longer view the scars photos on this procedure? My husband and I talked about this procedure (that actually gives no details "how" even at the consultation) but due to it's wonderful infomercial thousands of people go in for this. I was willing also, until I saw the surgical gone wrong pics that were posted here. Why are they now no where to be found?

We've changed how we display our photos, but they're still here. Go to the Lifestyle Lift reviews section and click on the reviews that show a "Polaroid"-type preview to see photos from each reviewer.

please don,t beleive any thing they tell you. you are wasting your money fooling with lifestyle lifts. My. dr sat me down in front of a mirror and said this is how you will look after thr surgey., boy did he ever lie to me. There should be some way people can get their money or at least a portion of it. It is a shame that they can lie to people like them and take their hard earned money

When i went into the Dr's office, he sat me down in front of mirror and pulled the skin back on my face and said this what it will look like, well was that a joke. This is the biggest scam of all times. Something should be done about this and lifestyle should be put out of business.Please i advis no one to do this and save your money and do it right by a plastis surgeon.

had a friend who works for lifestyle lift in troy.mi and she flat out told me they lie to their patients to get them to get the treatment done. They say u can go back to work the next day and the truth is, ure out of work at least 2 weeks b

You are the one person who can help all of us who have been tortured by this co. Is there any way your friend would be willing to talk to some of our law firms on the behind the scenes real facts about this place. Please contact me if possible. Any one with true compassion would not let this mutilation and torture continue.

please let me know how it turns out. my mother n i had it done not happy going to demand our money back. we r disputing it with care credit.they sid they care credit would work with us.we had it done 3 months ago ft myers fla.

Where can I view your pics... I am 41, live in Florida, I schedule a consultation for this Wednesday, but after reading all this I am scared! I can't seem to see any of the pics...

If you think you need anything done for yourself please do not do the life stylelift.I did it a weed ago and have sores all over the side and behind both ears.I am leaving for Houston in the morning after sending a plastic surgen my photos. He said I need to be in the hospital after it happened. The doctor sent us home and we removed my stitches! Yes do not be vain and think this will fix any problem.I am scared I may die of staff infection!If you need to talk feel free to email me although I am going in the hospital tomorrow.I will let you know what happins if I live through this.

Chrystal, My heart go out to you and all the other woman who have had this surgery with such horrible results. I thank you for the courage it took to go public with this. I have a friend that going to have this procedure done this spring..and I was thinking about it too. Thanks to you that wont be happening now! If you have any other information on this company and other information as to what you have experienced I would love to have it. I will be warning all my friends about this Lifestyle Lift. I wish that I had found realself before my procedure -- I would never have had it done. Please do warn women about the pitfalls of this procedure and the potential harm that they could suffer. umm look at my scars and tell me: was it worth it? no, I have never felt so bad about myself as I did after I had this procedure done: the office staff was horrible I was given no post op instructions and was told I could return to work the next day: look at my pictures: I should have been given a facial compression mask and NOT GONE to work for 2 weeks. opps: that is the opposite of what LSL told me. I had no post of care at all A technician removed my 40+ sutures and I never saw the "doctor" for any post op consultation. I was told later on that I should have worn a facial compression mask; not gone to work for two weeks-- I contributed to the scars by moving my head at work and at home. ( well LSL said it was ok to return to work and I believed them) after the surgery I was shoved out the back door with a bag of ice and a tube of neosporin. thats all folks the extent of my post op care. I could go on but please email me if you want any more info.

UGLY SCARS, I am so sorry about your horror story. Finally in GA TV46 CBS is running my story and 2 other ladies were in the story with me 11-17-08 at 6 pm. Thank goodness. We have to stand together in order to get anywhere. I could have died when they did the interview with the owner/supposed inventor of the LSL MR. KENT and when the interviewer asked him what he thought about the problems that we (the women shown in the story that had just aired), he said he wasn't aware of ANY problems (at all) and all women that have problems should contact their LSL office. What a BALD face LIE!!!! I have a signed letter with his signature on it saying that they did all they could for me and I would have to seek other types of medical attention (in other words get my head checked). I can't wait till morning to start calling LSL. I share your sentiments about the scarring. They do not tell you that the SMAS lift was really invented in the 70's and was dumped then due to bad results for most women. I have said this so many times I sound like a record player: YOUR EARS ARE NOT MEANT TO SUPPORT THE WEIGHT OF YOUR NECK, hence, longer ears and they sew your ears to your face in such a way that it looks totally un-natural. He (Kent) did not invent this lift nor did he perfect it. If he did perfect it and he performed all the surgeries on the women he shows in the brochures, then his teaching skills suck or all the doctors that he has taught this procedure to suck -- which one do you think. If you look closely at the advertising pictures, you can see those women did not get the kind of lift that we did. I believe they got maximum results, (hence not the 1 hr lift he sells to the general public) for the advertising pictures. Trust me, they would never publish my before and after pics. I also went onto their web site unhappy page where they say they will post your complaint... well I bet them they wouldn't post mine and guess what -- they didn't. They keep coming up with new sites to keep the money coming in. If it were not for the massive advertising campaign and semi-false advertising, they would not still be able to do this to us. I had my LSL done last April. My results were not acceptable to me either. They did not take care of the issues I was concerned with. I went back for a followup appt last week. They took after pictures. The Dr. came in on the defensive and started showing me the very slight changes and declared the procedure a complete success, He dismissed me and my concerns as if I was a whiny complainer. You will NEVER get a refund from these people. If anyone starts a class action suit against these people, sign me up.
