When it comes to purchasing a skin care regime, I get a bit baffled at the array of products I'm told to buy, and at their high, individual prices. So when I walked into Bath & Body Works and found that Patricia Wexler's Universal Anti-Aging Solution Starter Kit was not only all inclusive, but on sale, I had to share this potential gem. The kit is usually priced at $65.00, but is now selling for $45.00. A miracle kit if it can help with my facial lines and early signs of wrinkles.
The anti-aging skin care kit is marketed as being the complete answer to skin care needs: with a 30 day supply for a range of skin products.
The product that piqued my interest the most is called the MMPi Skin Regenerating Serum. I had never heard of MMP's, but they are a culprit in the aging of skin. From cleansers, to moisturizers, to anti-aging serums, I'm impressed with the scope of this kit.
People Magazine calls Patricia Wexler, M.D. the "secret weapon for celebrities and socialites." Her clients range from P. Diddy to Donna Karan. More important to me than her client roster, is Wexler's philiosopy that, "You don't need a bathroom cabinet full of products to get results. Only the right ones."

Hello, first off I want to say this is a great website! As for this particular product: I bought this starter kit back when it was first introduced and I was very disappointed. The products seemed to do nothing for me (perhaps because my skin is pretty good to start with?). The serum in partcular has a strange, almost sticky consistency. The eye cream made my eyes water, though it's supposed to be suitable for sensitive eyes. Also, the scent from her products is really strong and lingers and is nauseating (for me, at least). The only product I'd recommend here is the exfoliating scrub; its granules are really fine. However it does not seem any better than other similar exfoliation products.

I purchased Patricia Wexler,M.D.'s MMPI Rejuvenating Facial Serum from Bath and Body Works. I put it on a clean face like the directions say. I did not put it around my eyes. I woke up the next morning with my right eye half swollen shut and a large, red bag underneath my eye. It took several hours of laying with my head back with a bag of frozen peas to get the swelling down. The day after, the redness still exists and I have red blotches all over my face. As the product says "discontinue if irritation occurs" - I certainly did and threw it in the trash.

I have been using the Dr. Wexler products for about 6 mos.now and 3 times in one week people have commented on how great my skin looks. I have always worn foundation since I was a teenager and my skin looks so great now that I don't need anything but sun-screen and a bit of powder. That's it. I don't need to be a slave to make-up anymore. All thanks to Dr. Wexler's products. The night repair in the red jar is fantastic. It's easy to apply and has a light smell. Not greasy at all. The first two times I used it my face was kind of red in the morning, but I have tried lots of products in my life and I had the sense to let my skin get used to the new cream. Believe me, I am glad I stayed with it.

I've used the Patricia Wexler line for about a year now and think it's fantastic. My skin has always been good, but at 40 I get lots more compliments than I did before I used the products. It's really easy to use and I like that it's not a complicated line like many out there.

I have been using the Wexler products for a month now, and just went to Bath and Body to get another kit. I love it. My skin looks great, no reactions from anything, and I've gotten many compliments. The best one was someone telling me that my face was sooo soft. I loved it. It's easy to use and I feel better about myself. The regenerating serum took a little getting used to since it is thick, but I have used olive oil based products before, so it didn't take long to love the feel of it...
Try it,,

Same thing happened to me. I showered in the morning, cleanse my face with nivea facial foaming cleanser and put the patricia wexler under eye lotion. 15 minutes later, I looked at myself in the rearview mirror and freaked out (almost had a collision). Went back home, thoroughly rinsed stuff out. Swelling dissapeared 2 hours later, but under eye area is still red, 8 hours later.

I've found that every time I adopt a new regimen people tell me my skin looks great. This convinces me that the skin, like the hair, probably needs a change now and then. These products don't all work the same.

I just started using this line of products and I am absolutely in love with them. I have tried everything from expensive, to cheap to recommended to reviews written etc. I tried this on a whim and I have been using it for two weeks and I can not say enough great things. My skin feels like I used washed it ALL DAY. NO oil, no shine and my skin is clear. With the money back guarantee, everyone should try it.
1/16/08
C...your comment is patently spammy. my guess: you're a paid comment spammer from a PR agency. What real person talks about "money back guarantee" or "everyone should try it"? You should tell your client that comment spam just backfires on brands...doesn't get it in a more favorable light. How much did you get paid???

I have had problems with the two-part microdebrasion. I used it at night and it amade the area around my eyes red the next morning. This kind of allergic reaction sort of looks like a slight burn. Yuck! Not sure if the pink gel that's called MMPi Skin Regenerating Serum is also to blame as well as I used it a few days before the two-part stuff. The directions for the two-part stuff do say to keep away from eyes, nostrils, and mouth. But a lot of your face is around those parts...! The warning is in extremely tiny type, mainly on a separate piece of paper. There are no ingredients listed for anything. I think this makes the product rather suspicious. Fortunately, I purchased this at a really low discounted price. I think I am going to have to throw most of it away. That's just my experience.

I have used Wexler for about a year now. I love the skin brightening moisturizer with spf. It really does well with all day hydration. My skin is smoother, pores are smaller and overall tone is more even. I have even noticed a reduction in the appearance of freckles from too much tanning in my 20's.
I still struggle somewhat with blackheads on my nose although I have seen improvement since I started using the microdermabrasion more regularly.

I just tried the face cleanser, the eye cream and the skin regenerating serum...all trial products in the Patricia Wexler anti-aging kit and I cannot believe how much my face is burning! This is awful! I have washed my face several times since, trying to remove the residue, but it's still burning. I even tried half and half (for the cream) to neutralize it-(you know, like when you eat a hot pepper?) -but, no luck! My face is still red and on fire! Don't use this stuff! Please believe me. Email me if you want me to verify the veracity of my claim. What a waste of money! It's just horrible!
2/5/08
I just bought the eye wrinkle cream last night and put it on. I did not break out. I put it on my eye lids, and around eyes. Later I see it said not to put it on eyelids. I think I know why now. It seemed like it made my eyes water a little and burn. Today there is no effect at all on my eyes as far as the burning. (very mild) I tried to see on the internet why we couldn't use it on our eyelids, as they have been getting some wrinkles lately.....but if I put cream on them they seem to go away. Any comments please let me know. I am still curious and frankly a little scared by reading all of these reactions to her products. I have not bought the kit yet.
2/6/08
I started using this kit 2 days ago. This morning when I looked in the mirror I saw that I was red and blotchy from neck down to the top of my breasts. As the day has worn on I now look like I have a really bad sunburn and my coworker told me it seemed to traveling up into the lower portion of my face. The chest area is extremely warm, again just like a sunburn. I took some Benedryl and hopefully the redness will start to go away. I don't have what I consider to be sensitive skin and Lord knows I have tried plenty of facial programs over the years, but whatever is in these products really does not like me. I will be returning the product. I hope others have a better experience.
2/7/08
I got a free sample of this patricia wexler skin regenerating serum. I put a little on at night, and within an hour my face was on fire, like I had a bad sunburn. And my face is really hot, like a sunburn. And I don't have any skin allergies, and never had a problem with any other creams. I don't recommend this product.
2/9/08
I used the regenerating serum 2 days ago and my face is still burning, red, itchy and swollen. I have never had this kind of reaction to any other face product. I don't know what to do.
2/12/08
I got this as a free sample from bath and body works. I used it and within 30 mins. my face was hot and blood red and slightly swollen. I washed the product off and used an antihistimine lotion and the redness and swelling finally went away.
2/13/08
i started using dr. wexler's night repair cream, about 2 months ago, and the brightening day cream, about 1 month ago. i was also given a sample of the serum. i have seem absolutely no change or improvement, and...if i've noticed anything, it's red blochy skin....although i don't know which of these 3 products has caused this. i will not be purchasing her line, of products, again.....
2/13/08
It sounds like there are a lot of plants on this thread...hmmm.
Hard to tell the sincere from the compensated.
This line is rife with unnecessary irritating chemicals.
Many superior lines are available.
Sorry, Dr. Wexler. :O(

I just received a free sample of the skin regenerating serum today from Bath & Body Works. After reading these reviews, I will certainly not be using it. Thanks for the heads up.
2/17/08
I have just completed my first full week of the anti-acne kit. My skin looks and feels amazing! I've experienced no burning, itching or redness. There certainly are a lot of varying opinions on these products. However, for me it has been a winner and I can't wait to see the results after a month.
2/18/08
I have been using Patricia Wexler's starter kit for about a week now, and I noticed results immediately. I like the products and there has been little irritation. I do however, think the creams, lotions, and serums are very pricey, and I'm wondering how I'm going to keep up with this regimin. Overall, I don't think it's worth the money.
2/20/08
I bought the Undereye Brightening Cream for my dark circles after reading raving reviews on B&B Works' website. I applied it 3 times a day for 2 weeks and saw no results. Pretty disappointing. I'm still willing to try her other products, as some people swear by them, but this one didn't seem to work for me. At least I was able to get my money back.
2/26/08
For future information, I was at Bath and Body Works yesterday and looked at the Patricia Wexler products. The sales person said that they stand behind all of their products and that the products are returnable if they were not to the purchasers satisfaction.
2/27/08
I used this stuff and I really like it. No burning, redness or anything like that.My undereyes seem more firm. I would give it a try. Maybe put it on a little while before bed to make sure your not going to look irritated by morning. It's a keeper for me. I think with continued use I will see some visible improvements.
3/4/08
I bought the anti-aging kit and also had an immediate reaction to the serum. Red bumpy blotches all over my face! I must say I am very disappointed in the serum. I read about it in a book, which just raved about the product. The odd thing is, I don't have sensitive skin at all. This is the first time I've ever had a reaction to a product. Thanks to the poster who suggested antihistimine lotion. I'm going back to Olay's Regenerist line after this!
3/4/08
What a huge disappointment!
I used the repair night cream and woke up the next morning with my one eye swollen shut! The rest of my face, neck and chest were red, itching and burning! I even had small welts on my face.
It took 8 days for my skin to return back to normal.
I called the 800 number to report it and the person that answered the phone was not helpful at all.
I'm telling everyone I know to NOT purchase this product!!!
3/10/08
I read your post after I had already purchashed this after returning the 3 in 1 cream which dried out the skin around my eyes so I was skeptical. However, this worked like magic for me. I was very impressed that after I put in on, waited like 10 minutes and literally 75% of the darkness under my eyes was gone and I have tried everything for this. I think just from reading everyone's posts it's like anything else....some things work for some and not for others.
3/18/08
Wow, it sure seems like a lot of people experienced some kind of allergic reaction to this stuff! Seems pretty amazing to me that if that many people have had reactions, that it wouldn't be taken off the market or at least more widely publicized. As for me, I DO often have reactions to creams, etc but NO adverse effects w/Patricia Wexler...I love the way my skin looks and feels and have been very satisfied with the results thus far. Though I will agree with whoever said that it will be pricy to continue using this...even if each product lasts a while, the cost to buy full-size applications of all of these products would be a pretty hefty investment. I'll have to decide when I finish with my kit whether I'll want to make that investment or not.
3/18/08
I am up at 5:49 a.m. itching like crazy and Googling this line to see if I am itching from this or from my new pill (both of which I started using on Sunday). I think, after reading these reactions, that its the Wexler line. My face is not itching terribly, but my neck and chest are red and itching like crazy. I want to jump out of my skin. And, I have no Benydryl.
3/22/08
I came to see the reviews, because I tried the free sample of the serum I got from BB works, on my chest area, my testing ground, and it seemed to really make a difference, in general smoothness, it's a wrinkled area for me. so.. I tried it on my face and it was pretty good, so I got the night cream. When I put the night cream over the serum, I got a reaction similar to what's been described here, no bumps, but it felt hot and was red. I didn't really do anything about it and it was okay the next day, but I've just been using the night cream alone now, with no problems. It is pricey, so I wanted to read some reviews before I tried the eye cream. I once made a huge splurge on an eye treatment, it was something that was well reviewed everywhere, Skincueticals C, not sure I spelled it right, it was the most I'd ever spent on something and it made my eyelids burn and flake, so I'm very careful now about what I use there. most things seem to at the least, make my eyes water. I'd say the night cream is good and the serum good if you try it on a small area first and see the reaction. there's usually a tester in the store, one time ought to tell.
3/24/08
I used the serum stuff and my face was red and starting to itch. All you have to do is buy topical benadryl and apply to all the red areas. It will resolve the matter within an hour. Also...throw the stuff away and never use it again.
3/24/08
If anyone tries the product, just have a bottle of topical benadryl on hand. within 30min - 1 hr you will know if you are having a reaction to the wexler product; then,... wash your face, pat dry, and apply benadryl on redness, etc. If you had a reaction throw the wexler stuff away!

Today on the Rachelle Ray show I heard Christy Brinkley talking about
how good the Wexler products are for her. I was excited to look up the
site on the internet & possibly order the products. I just wanted to be beautiful like Christy & younger looking. I am now a skeptic as far as the Wexler products & all of the bad reviews. I guess that I'll continue to use Strivectin, Mary Kaye & Covergirl Products for now.
3/26/08
I love everything about these products. I usually have sensitive skin, bu have had no problems with any of these. I love the eye cream. It really helped to diminish wrinkles. I have repeatedly bought more products, and will continue to do so. Thank You Dr Patricia Wexler.
3/28/08
I have been using the Anti-Aging kit about a month. I am 48 and have very sensitive skin with wrinkles and occasional acne. I really like the products, especially the glycolic peel (bought separately). My skin has more even tone, my undereye wrinkles are less noticable, and my feels nicely hydrated. I use the products around my eyes, but would definitely avoid the eyelids themselves. I like the serum and feel it evens out my skin surface, and have not had any blotching. I will be trying the kit for oily skin once the weather warms up and humidity kicks in.
4/1/08
Well, I really wanted to like this line of products. No such luck. I tried the 3 in one eye cream-took it back because it made the area around my eyes drier and wrinkles more pronounced. I also tried the brightening moisturizer and the pm moisturizer. I didn't have the irritation mentioned above, but it didn't seem to ever absorb. The condition of my skin has actually gotten visibly worse in the past month.
I bought another moisturizer last night (Boots-good press and great price point) and my skin feels better already. The taught dryness has lessened and my skin feels soft without the greasy layer.
Good luck ladies!
4/16/08
Hey Ladies (I assume ladies),
I'm so shocked hearing about this weird redness, itchiness, allergic reaction stuff to the serum and some to the night cream. That and the issues some have with the way it smells. I personally don't like everything Wexler, but I've read a gazillion reviews elsewhere in magazines, on B&BW (although they could totally filter out the neg reviews), Amazon, etc. and have never heard about this till now. I wonder if there is some ingredient that a lot of people are allergic to like latex.
My story is that I have very fair, very sensitive 34-yr old skin and unfortunately I've had pretty continual breakouts on my cheeks and chin for the last few years. I got the Wexler kit about 2 1/2-3 years ago and used it up in about 30 days. During that time my skin did get much better. Like everything else, if I don't think there's a problem anymore I forget to prevent the problem from happening again. So, I went onto a new product, maybe the Aveeno cleanser with Lancome moisturizer, I think. Then as my skin got worse I kept trying stuff until finally I broke down and got Proactiv, which did NOT work at clearing me up. I remembered the Wexler kit and went back and got another. My skin started calming down pretty quickly and I became a tad obsessed. I've tried everything in the line except the newer 3-in-1 eye cream.
Here's what I like:
1. Eye gel - works GREAT if you wake up puffy in the morning. Put it on, have your coffee, putter around for 10-15min then wash it off when you shower/wash your face.
2. Cleanser - very mild, gentle, doesn't irritate and skin looks creamier when done. If you have heavy make up you might want to make sure you use toner or something to get any remnants off.
3. Glyco peel - I'm convinced that my skin doesn't break out when I uses this. It can sting a little, but not too bad. I truly think this is the one thing that helps control breakouts for me. I understand what people have said about it being sticky or whatever...i wash my face, do the peel, then sometimes rinse my face after the 2nd step has had time to soak in.
4. Night repair cream (not the PM one) - this works so well for me, the only negative side effect I've ever seen is if I use too much it can be slightly pore clogging because it's so thick. I've gotten a few little whiteheads that seem to just disappear with no red marks when I wash my face in the morning after using this thickly.
5. The serum - I like it and I've even put it on my face to calm it down when it feels irritated from other things. I don't necessarily wake up in the morning 10 years younger, but it hasn't caused any rashes or anything like that. I think it makes my skin smoother and a little more even toned.
6. Oil free day moisturizer - this really helps my skin from drying out (i have dry, but oily acne prone skin...ugh!) and from turning in to an oil slick, which believe me, it will if left on it's own...and heaven forbid I put on a regular moisturizer...my make up will slide off my face!
7. Microdermabrasion - decent exfoliator, doesn't seem to provide any miracles or anything - if you want a miracle face scrub try Creme de la Mer, that stuff is unreal. On special occasions where I absolutely want to feel and look great I put it on in the shower for like 15 minutes and let that Dead Sea stuff do it's thing. Soooooo nice!
Here's what I don't really care for:
1. day moisturizer - see 6 above
2. acne cleansers - these are just a little to harsh and irritate my sensitive skin
3. acne serum - also a little to much
4. concealer - doesn't work.
5. lip plumper - it works, but your lips sting, in case you were feeling sorry for me for all of my skin problems, thankfully I have a nice pair of lips that don't really need the plumpage.
6. pm moisturizer - it's okay, but i think the other one is better
7. lip damage treatment - it's eh, so so, blah - Borba's is better
8. Wrinkle smoother - bleech
9. Deep wrinkle eye repair - doesn't work, try Perricone
Okay, I lied, I haven't tried the under eye brightener (I'm in love with Murad's...it really does lighten the inside corner and under eye area), the over night acne repair lotion or the no injection instant line filler for eyes and lips. Have a good one everybody!
4/22/08
I've been using the "Aconostat" acne + anti-aging line for about 6 weeks now. It is fabulous. My skin looks fantastic (I get compliments), I have no need to wear makeup, and it just all-around glows. I've been struggling with adult-acne for some time, and it seems that since crossing over into 40 it is worse (I never suffered like this as a teen). Other products were too drying and made me very flaky and hyper-sensitive. I have had no such experience with the Wexler line. I am a true-believer now.
4/23/08
Wow. I'm also a little shocked to hear that people have had reactions! I'd never heard of any reactions before coming to this site.
My story: I'm 24 and have had good skin all my life until the past year. Suddenly I have dry, acne prone skin with breakouts on my cheeks. Ack! I tried Neutrogena, Aveeno, etc. and it only seemed to be getting worse. So I figured I'd pull out the big guns (or, you know, my wallet...)
I started using Wexler gradually. Began with the Overnight Acne Repair cream. Saw a result in just a few days. It isn't scented that great - but it WORKS. That's the important thing.
Picked up the Undereye Brightening Cream. This is the first cream I've used where I actually DID see my dark circles lightening up! My only quibble is that it's a little thin - I prefer thicker creams for a base when I put on concealer.
Then I bought the cleanser, which I use twice a day and it has never dried my skin (unlike most acne washes.) I love it! It's creamy and exfoliates well.
I just began using the Glyco Peel last week. It's a little intimidating at first, since it seems so harsh, and I was confused by not having to wash it off (>_<) but I've used it every day and haven't had a reaction at all. My skin GLOWED after the first day!
My skin hasn't looked so good in a year.
My advice: don't get scared off by the reviews of people who have had reactions. Different things work for different people. Have some basic skincare common sense: start out slowly (don't immediately pile 5 new products onto your skin!) and give your skin a few days to adjust. Good luck!
4/25/08
I was looking for something to help my skin, a combination of dry and oil, noticeable blackheads, large pores and mild rosacia. (I sound like a mess) Having said that I really make sure the products i purchase will work with my face, being skepical of all new products I decided to try the Wexler Acne Starter Kit. I must admit I was leery however glad to report I have had nothing but great results. My skin has never looked better, brighter, and smoother. Pores are so much less visible, no breakouts. I actually dont even have to wear foundation. A natural powder dusting some blush and off I go. I have had so many compliments so I am overall quite happy with this product. I would assume anyone that has had an allergic reaction did not test themselves on a small patch of skin as the instructions say.
4/28/08
I started using Dr. Wexler's Acne products and it broke my face out so bad, it was the worst acne I had ever had. It did make my skin feel smoother under all the acne, maybe if she came out with a sensitive skin line more people could use that.
I'm going back to my clinique products.
4/29/08
I love the products. Guess everyones skin is different. Some people want instant results. Our culture is so funny . One month with the wexler and loving my skin. I dont use it on the inner eye area near my nose. Maybe thats why some people are having a problem. Well more for me I guess
5/1/08
I thought I was CRAZY until I read these reviews - used the MMPi Night Repair Cream - the &*#$% "miracle cream rated by allure"....
I had to work from home yesterday because my eyes were swollen shut, my skin feels like a cheap leather handbag and red as a beat....I made it to work today where everyone wants to know what's wrong.
I have, thank g-d, beautiful, healthy skin -- and never in a million years did I think the texture (it feels awful) and the tone and the fact that I tried to exfoliate the damn stuff off and moisturize and it just sat there on my skin....
i have these two swollen lumps in my cheeks beneath my eyes...my eyelids are swollen -
NEVER AGAIN.........and I'm in the business, too - never did I think that she could have so many chemicals in her line...i could have had an Obagi Peel for this crap....
5/7/08
I was given the skin regeneration serum as a free sample, I normally don't buy this sort of stuff. I have tried it twice, and both times my face became red and blotchy and hot-feeling. It did feel soft and smooth, but it looked awful! And I have never had an allergic reaction to anything in my life!
5/9/08
Anyone have their wrinkles worsened after using her products? I turned 38 when I started to 'notice' the dullness and wrinkles on my face. I had to do something and that's when I stumbled upon PW products. I then switched from ROC and started to use her regime - cleanse, exfoliate, nourish and moisturize. It is about a month and a half now. Though I liked it initially, I now see that my skin around my eyebrows and forehead area have more wrinkles than before! I see frown lines where they were non-existent before. The skin is super dry and peels (is that new skin-- don't know)! The skin around the eyebrows burns when I put the serum on. I am in 2 minds whether to continue to use the rest of the product -- which btw is a lot!!
5/9/08
At 57 years, I have extremely fair and sensitive skin. In addition I've had several bouts of basal cell cancer with subsequent Moh's surgery. I was looking primarily for a non-irritating moisturizer with SPF for daily use and I've been using the Wexler products for over a year now. I love the daily skin brightening moisturizer as well as the anti-aging one- both help with dry skin, have SPF and don't feel at all sticky. I also like the microbrasion cream, use it in the shower about 3 times per week and I love the facial cleanser. The serum is not irritating to me- and as I said, I have really sensitive skin. I tried the under-eye cream but found it irritating, esp. since I often have my fingers near my eyes/glasses whatever. Overall, I love these products and it's the first time in my life that I have consistently used a product line because I think it actually has a positive effect.
5/16/08
I felt like I needed to post...I've used the line for about one month now. Although I wouldn't call it a "miracle", I am very pleased with the appearance of my skin. I have had none of the reactions described above. Maybe just lucky. My only concern is with the price. Also, I wonder about the effectiveness of the sunscreen in the daily moisturizer. I seem more sun sensitive since using the product, but overall my skin looks as youthful as it has in 10 years (I'm 48). So don't let the comments scare you.....and its true: Both Dr. Wexler's company and BBW will refund the money on the starter kit if you are not satisfied.
5/17/08
I received the serum as a free gift from Bath and Body. Loved it! I have bought a 3.4 oz jar, bought one for by daughter and my sister. We all are very pleased. Made our skin feel wonderful. Thank you.
5/19/08
I have been using the Patricia Wexler skin kit for about 2 months now. I'm in my (gasp) mid-40's now and I needed something for the fine lines that have suddenly appeared. I have not had any of the adverse effects described by some of the posters above. But, I haven't noticed a huge difference either. I absolutely love the serum. It really makes my skin so smooth. My husband has even used it and loves it too. You can't let everyone speak for you - everyone's skin is different. If you're contemplating using the Wexler line, go to BBW and get some free samples. Now... can anyone tell me a good regimen for the dark splotches... I guess they call them sun spots, age spots, etc? I am a sun lover and it's caught up to me on my face. Help!
5/29/08
Wow - I am glad I didn't read all these posts before I bought my kit. I'm 47, fair-skinned and have blackheads, whiteheads and pimples. I've been hoping for years to leave my Stridex days and move into my Oil of Olay days to no avail.
I happened to be in Bath and Body Works and saw the Wexler Acne Starter kit and thought I would try it. Lord knows I've tried all the standard cosmetics counter stuff and the Murad line, the Clinique line, the Tea Tree Oil line from Body Shop and baskets full of other stuff. I noticed a difference in three days! I was so excited that I went back and got full size products so I could save the starter kit for travel. I haven't had any problems with anything from the acne line. I love the cleanser and the glyco-peel. Even the moisturizer hasn't made me break out (first time for that)!
I did also purchase the No-injection Wrinkle Smoother - I probably won't purchase that again. Also the 3-in-1 Eye Cream - the jury is still out on that. My crows-feet have improved and the skin is smoother.
I used the free sample of serum on my neck and chest and did have a similar but much smaller reaction as has been noted. The skin is much smoother tho. Maybe I'll try this on a weekly basis instead.
Good Luck!

I also had a good response to the starter kit, and I often have very sensitive skin. I had no adverse reaction and I do think the serum made my skin softer and overall smoother, although I don't think it did anything for fine lines. However reading this I wonder if I shouldn't buy it again anyway, since so many people did have problems.

Well, I was curious about this product's starter kit because I have been using it for about a week and really not very much difference. So I wanted to see if it took a little longer. Anyway, even though not much different, (maybe cuz i'm 22), definitely NO reaction what so ever. I'm also fair skinned, and I was kinda shocked to read these reactions. Anyway, I want to urge the people going on here to check out the product not to get scared away by these posts. I had no redness, no bumps, just felt very soft. so, i think since there seems to be such mixed reviews to try it yourself.

I have had a blemish on my chin for over three months. (I'm 27 and have hormone issues) I bought the Acne Spot treatment on a whim, the girl at bath and body said the products were guaranteed and I thought what the heck nothing else has worked. Overnight the giant spot had flattened out and within a week all I have left is a few red spots. I am now a huge fan and will return to buy the rest of her product line. I fully recommend it and have had no issues, the skin around the spot was a little drier than normal but with some moisturizer I was fine.

Amy. you're comment is totally unnecessary. Let me say that I am absolutely NOT getting paid to leave this comment. The money back guarantee is indeed important. It let's you feel comfortable laying down the cash to try something new. I just bought way too many pat wexler products due to the current 75% off clearance price at Bath and Body works! I would certainly not have purchased so much if I hadn't tried them before... returned what I didn't like (due to the guarantee), and now I know what to choose. I grabbed a handful of the moisturizer I had tried and skipped over the cleanser I returned. Everyone SHOULD try it. There is nothing to lose but obvious dreaded gas money getting to and from the store. Use it for a week... see how it works for you and if you don't like it... you can return it! no questions asked! I love it.

I have been using Patricia Wexler starter kit for about a month and I also been getting a lot of comments....being 72 years old that makes me feel great. My problem is finding the product....the local Bath & Body isn't carrying anymore and the web sit is out of stock. Are you able to buy it on the internet through another site.
Thanks,
Betty

I have a really hard time believing all the "my eyes were swollen shut" b.s. Please. If there are any "plants" it is from other companies trying to discount the Wexler line. I have VERY VERY sensitive skin, and previous to obtaining and using the anti-aging kit, I used AVEDA sensitive skin products. I just love all the products in the kit and am going to buy another. The serum is so not sticky at all. I am overly picky about all skin care items, and this was my fav. product.
Give the products a try. I put the eye cream on my entire eyelid and no issues and usually if something is even somewhat irritating, my eyes will go crazy with watering and be really red.
Every morning I am pleasantly surprised at how great my skin is looking after using these products. I am 40 and have never loved a skin care line as much as the Patricia Wexler products.

Hi, I recently visited Malaysia which is such a beautiful country. I’ve been having sensitive oily skin which resulted in acne all over my face ever since I was a teenager and no matter what I did to my face, nothing seemed to help at all. Imagine my surprise when I chanced upon Rosa T and gave it a go. I could see immediate improvements within days of usage. Never have I been so satisfied or amazed by any beauty products before! Before I left for England, I purchased as much as my luggage could carry. I recommend anyone with sensitive skin and acne problem to try Rosa T. It can be purchased online nowadays at http://www.acne-treatment.cc.
Thank you

I love all of her products. I have fair & sensitive skin & her products are the best. My favorite is the MMPI skin regenerating serum or as it is called the "pink cream". Her products are also sold on a home shopping network at great prices- I don"t know if I can mention which one. Her products for wrinkles are some of the best I have tried- and I have tried them all. I am 51 and most men & women guess my age between 33-35. I am proud of the way my face looks for 51- I love to have strangers guess my age & see there face when I show them the age of my drivers license or state id. Last week, a man asked me for a date that was 25- he thought I was 35! I have always stayed out of the sun & drink lots of water, and take vitamins. I still think that most of the reason for great skin and less wrinkles and looking younger is which skin care products you use. I feel Dr. Patricia Wexler's products are the best.

"This line is rife with unnecessary irritating chemicals."
And you know this, how? Even plants/fruit acids cause major irritation ESPEcially for people with sensitive skin.
"It sounds like there are a lot of plants on this thread"
Just because there are a lot of people that are happy with it doesn't mean they are lying.
I bought the set after get a gift certificate from my mother-in-law. I was allowed to try the entire line in the store and I really liked it. I didn't get any irritation then but I have had some. With any microderabrasion you Will have some red after and that is why you don't use it every day.
1. you aren't supposed to use the eye cream on your eye lids. I have made that mistake and my eyes started burning pretty bad. I don't know why it does that.
2. If you are going to throw it away give it to me. I want it.
When I was in highschool my skin was a lot more sensitive and would turn red just using a mild hydroxy acid face cream (whatever its called), it doesn't anymore since my mid 20's and I'm now 31.

I work at a Flagship/Top 150 Bath and Body Works. If you are having these problems with the Wexler line, I agree with the previous poster who said, return to your BBW and return the products. We have a 100% Guarantee on ALL of our products, receipt or not, used or not.
In regards to this red rash that several people have been talking about - Patricia Wexler actually addresses this in her Company Training. There is such a high concentration of MMPi's that most people are not used to that sometimes there is an adverse reaction. She recommends that you continue to use it for a short time and your skin should get use to it.
Also - for the eye cream users, why are you applying it to your eyelids? Eye creams are meant to be patted in using a ring finger for a lighter touch around the underside of your eyes (preferably your Ocular bone) and your OCCIPITAL BONE (the bone by your eye brows) The skin around your eyes is very thin and doesn't need it directly on it. The product when applied to your bones should be absorbed by your skin and pulled in closer to your eyes.
And for someone who works with Wexler on almost a daily basis - if you're reading this and are worried after all of these people's horrible reviews, you'd be surprised to see the amount of people who come in and spend amazing amounts of money on our products.
So now you say - but of course I work for BBW/Wexler, I'm going to say good things about it. Well, let me say that we do NOT get any commission on selling our products and our store reflects on the Total Customer Experience. Our goal is to make your visit worthwhile and send you home with something you love and will work.
Basically - visit your local Flagship/Top 150 store, there should be someone there who can help you with Wexler and if you DON'T like it, they will be happy to help you find something else.

I wish there were one miraculous skin care line, but (in my opinion) there isn't. I was wowed with Dr. Wexler's credentials, reputation, and science and rushed out for the original starter set.
I don't know if it has totally changed my skin, but nothing else has, either. It's pretty good. So, after using for almost 2 years, these are my honest comments.
1. Universal cleanser - Decent but REALLY stings my eyes. I prefer Cetaphil, but I keep a tube in my travel bag for emergencies. Can't figure out if you are supposed to tissue or rinse off.
2. Microdermabrasion "system" - Nice fine scrub, but I emailed company on directions since maybe I am not using ENOUGH and I have to add water to be able to scrub for 60 seconds. Difficult to get completely off unless you rinse very thoroughly or in shower. (Ditto other scrubs like this). Hydrating lotion that follows has a good amount of hyaluronic acid in it which is very soothing and plumping. You still need to follow with a moisturizer. BTW, the company never replied to me. Avons scrub is as good, I am sure there are others. Heck, I even like Clean and Clear's scrub - anti acne products are often good for anti-aging!
3. Glycolic peel - I am a blue eyed blond with fair but STRONG skin. This wasn't very impressive. See, I WANT to feel something if I am going to use an acid! Avon's glycolic pads were better.
**A note here: Wexler does instruct to start off slowly with exfoliation. If someone hasn't done it regularly, I can see how it could irritate the skin. I have a feeling that is the primary issue with many of the people who have written here. A serious exfoliant will almost by necessity be a bit irritating. Proceed with great care, start VERY slowly, do not go out in the sun, and go light on the pressure at first**.
4. Universal Daytime Moisturizer SPF 30. I like this product, and Wexler puts all the HOT INGREDIENTS (that often cost more) into it. It is a bit expensive, though, so I find myself going back to Neutrogena's newest Anti-Aging Daily moisturizer, which is a wonderful and simple product.
5. ANTI AGING MOISTURIZER PM - Her first pm moisturizer, extremely light and probably not enough "oomph" for many. Good on a hot night!
6. INTENSIVE NIGHT REPAIR CREAM - Great product, a little thick (but just don't dump too much on), and read the ingredients. It has EVERYTHING they recommend AND still at a much cheaper price than any dept. store brand.
I like it, but admit it still costs $$ so I find myself using Olay's microsculpting night cream which is also wonderful. I also use it as my EYE CREAM.
7. DEEP WRINKLE EYE REPAIR - I have to agree with others on this. As a rule, my eyes don't burn from anything. (I can even put Retin A .1% under my eyes with no problem). This BURNED and STUNG and I kept on trying, but my eyes would tear it off. I wanted to LOVE it, but couldn't. Well, I like to use one moisturizer for eyes and face - I can't bother with those extra bottles anyway!
8. MMP Skin Regenerating Serum. How interesting that this bothered people. Does that mean it really works? I hope so. I find it totally mild and innocuous and use it at night. For my "day serum", I use Revealskin night cream (coffeeberry extract). No, I don't use their DAY cream since I follow the night cream (yeah, used during the day) with my Wexler or Neutrogena day moisturizer that has SPF. I think anti oxidants are very important during the day, so I have splurged on this product and use it instead of Vitamin C or prevage.
9. Lip plumper - INTERESTING again. I actually got a little cold sore from this one. I thought it was coincidence, but it happened again. Bummer. That's not the way to plump up your lips.
The simplicity of the system is marvelous and for a person who doesn't want to use a lot yet wants some sort of regime...it just might be the way to go. I like the "Doctor's Directive" but I still think her instructions could be clearer.
I understand other's comments about natural products, but remember that poisons can be natural, too, so that does not guarantee safety. (Think about poison ivy!). I am sorry she introduced some additional treatments (not counting the acnestat), because the point was to have minimal products that DID THE JOB, not add extra wrinkle smoothers, etc.
There are 2 proven things that will improve your skin to some degree:
1. Consistency in use of a cleanser, moisturizer, exfoliator.
2. Sunscreen.
Everything else is a dream in a bottle. But, heck, that can be fun.

YOu can return the product if it is not working for you!

Hey all I work at B&BW ( my views do not represent those of bath & body works or limited brands I am speaking for myself) I have found that alot of my customers really do like the Patricia Wexler Line....a few have had negative reactions...mostly those ladies with more sensitive skin..so I have been a little leery about trying it. I am only 20 years old soooo I really dont think I need anything anti aging just yet...but I do like to have an SPF on my face...soooo I tried the anti acne kit and loved it. the glyco peel pads do sting your face a little but its a peel so im figuring that that is why...im not so crazy about the moisturizer but everything else is cool and my skin feels great....I use bare minerals makeup and the oil free hydrater makes a nice base for the powder to stick to.....good luck and id like to hear how everyone else feels about the acne kit.

In Charla Krupp's book "How Not to Look Old", she highly recommended the Wexler products. I bought the starter kit and was extremely satisfied of how my skin looked and felt after only 2 weeks. I am 49 years old and have recently received compliments of how good I look. My skin had absolutely no negative reaction to any of the products. I would strongly recommend the starter kit to begin with--it lasted for about 3 weeks (and some of the sample sizes have laster a bit longer).

I recently bought the Acnostat starter kit (on sale, with a coupon). I have had acne since my teens and have tried everything from proactiv to drugstore lines. My face has never felt softer and smoother, and i have only had one new spot pop up in the last week. I have also noticed my skin tone evening out. The best part about this kit is definitely the glyco peel, and i'm convinced that's what is doing the trick. Also, I have tried the MMPi serum before (my mom has the free sample) with no adverse affects, unless soft, smooth skin is adverse. Just today I went back to B&BW and bought her under eye brightening cream and had no reaction to it at all. I would recommend Wexler products, they are definitely worth the money, but probably not for those with sensitive or easily irritated skin. Love it!

I've been using the Patrica Wexler Regenerating Serum for about a month, usually twice a day. I've noticed that my skin sloughs off old skin on a daily basis which, to me, is rejuvinating my skin. In fact, I'm so impressed that I just came into my computer and googled Patricia Wexler, MD because I didn't even know where this product had come from....To me this product does everything Retin-A used to do. I've had NO negative incidents with this product and most definitely will continue to use it now that I know it came from Bath and Body Works!!!

I bought the foaming cleanser and got the serum as a free sample.
Don't have any problems with the cleanser, loved how the serum made my face
look smooth and not shiny. My face looked bright and more even-toned. But then
the outer edges of my lips began to get darker and darker. Then they were
scorched, dried and tiny bumps came up on my lips. Not sure if it was the
cleanser or the serum. I've stopped using both and am using mostly Vaseline and
that Burt's Bees lip balm. I'm looking for something that will bring my lips
back to what they were.

I've been using the Wexler anti aging acne line for about a year and a half now and have tried about a bazillion things prior to this. For me there is nothing that even compares to how fantastic this whole line works! My 48 year old skin has never looked better and I hear it all the time. I have never had a single reaction and have, by this point, tried nearly every product available. I have turned a couple of friends onto the stuff as well and they have all had positive results. Don't be afraid to try this. They have enough somall sizes available and BBW has the best Customer Service I've ever dealt with. I will NEVER go back to any other product I've used. This stuff has been a miracle for me.

Victoria's Secret sells some of Dr. Wexler's products, and you can get them in the store, online, or through thier catalog. People also sell some on eBay, and I would check Amazon.com also. They're really good.
10/22/08
I have been using the 3-in-1 eye cream for about 8 months and it does amazing things for me. I have never experienced any irritation and it tightens up the area around my eyes. It seems to remove any puffiness and gives my eyes an awake look. I pat it on and don't use very much. I will definitely continue to buy it.
I was given a free sample of the skin serum and I love it. I use it under my makeup with sunscreen and it helps my foundation stay fresh all day. It gives my face a fresh, poreless look. Again, I use it sparingly because that's really all you need.
I am 39. I really like the Wexler products and will continue to use them because I can see a difference in my skin. I have also received comments from strangers about how good my skin looks. I like that the products don't have a heavy perfume smell and are somewhat affordable.
I have used very expensive products in the past, specifically Prevage and I feel like the Wexler products give me equally impressive results with a more affordable price.
Thanks,
Suzanne in TN

Ladies with sensitive skin are a diffrent story

I've used Wexler for about 3 years now. I started at the suggestion of my Atlanta based dermatologist. I have fair, sensative skin that, unfortunately, saw a lot of beach time in my younger days. I was seeking a dermal filler when the doc told me to give the line a try for 6 months and then decide. As so many of you have reported, I initially had some redness, blotching and burning. I reported it to the dermatologist. He asked me which product was at fault, to which I answered..."I don't know, it could have been one of 4!" After being chastised for introducing 4 new products to my skin at once, he explained that I needed to use one for a week or so prior to adding another product. I did this...first using the Night Repair creme, adding the daily moisturizer, then the serum, etc. Here we are, 3 years later. I have not had any dermal filler to this date!! I have friends tell me how absolutely fabulous my skin looks! I am complimented with adjectives like "dewey, peaches & cream, baby's bottom smooth.." Those are things I NEVER heard 6 or 7 years ago!! I'll never use anything else on my skin. I realize that the price of her products have crept up over the past few years, and she no longer has her OWN website (where I used to be able to buy an entire kit of 7 full sized products, including serum, for only $99.)with better product info. In my mind, her line has been amazing. As a working medical professional, I am always very skeptical of over the counter facial "miracles". This line comes amazingly close!
