Olay challenges cosmetic procedures
Olay is having a field day lately with its advertising. Granted, they've gotten some great press with the hoopla that surrounded the UK's launch of its version of Olay Micro-Sculpting Cream, and the Good Housekeeping Research Institute study that showed Micro-Sculpting Cream to beat out several $100+ face creams (btw, we've never heard which creams exactly--though the ads allude to a "$350 one"--hmm, Chanel ($350)? La Prairie ($375)?)
But one ad that stands out--and it's the type that always raises an eyebrow for me--is the one that states "Defy gravity without cosmetic procedures." And there's 3 Olay Regenerist products shown:
1. Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream
2. Olay Regenerist 14-Day Skin Intervention
3. Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum
Of course, there is a disclaimer:
"It's not surgical results but for an overall lifted look it's a force to be reckoned with."
And the requisite footnote:
"Results not equal to surgical procedures but help provide a lifted look."
I've tried the 14-Day Skin Intervention and did notice a bit of tightening--but certainly a short-term effect. And it was definitely not any outcome I'd put in the same sentence with the words "cosmetic procedure".
How about you? Have you tried any of Olay's trifecta here--WiWi: Was it Worth it?
