Skin-Smoothing Magic found in Chocolate Ball
Problem: Dry, flaky, rough-textured skin.
Solution: The Ball.
Say what? Yes, The Ball. Ojon Rare Harvest Tawaka "The Ball", to be specific. When you first see it, you sort of have a "something's wrong with this picture" reaction. But The Ball is actually a cleansing antioxidant scrub that also touts skin-silkening benefits.
The Ojon Rare Harvest Tawaka "The Ball" is made from rare Tawaka Cacao (what they call "savage" Cacao), making it virtually a chocolate ball for the body. Ojon, a brand that manufactures natural hair and skin remedies, produces the rare Cacao blend in "The Ball" with enough antioxidant power to equal the content of 2,834 lbs of blueberries. The Ball also contains a "high dose" of wildcrafted Ojon oil, rich in essential fatty acids, Omega-3, 6 and 9--which is where the silkening benefits come from.
"The Ball" is painstakingly hand-shaped (each ball can take up to 2 days to produce) to about the size of a baseball, and fits nicely in your hand. Ojon suggests rolling it on your body for a quick circulation-stimulating massage while exfoliating.
Apparently you have to moisten The Ball in warm water "while working between your hands to help break through the soft outer layer and release the scrubbing qualities." That's ok, but the more I think about using The Ball, it seems like things would get a bit messy with streams of chocolate-colored runoff flowing throughout the tub. And while I love (LOVE) Lindt truffles, the thought of bringing chocolate balls (or any chocolate) into the bathtub has never appealed to me.
Still, if you're interested, Ojon has an interesting video on their website on how "The Ball" is made, and some trivia about it.
