For some, dreaming of that new nose or set of “assets” is just that – a dream. The cost of plastic surgery does not exactly go hand in hand with a struggling economy. So, what's a girl/guy to do? Gamble for it, of course.
Two Atlantic City Trump casinos recently announced a “Plastic Surgery Give-away” to one lucky gambler – up to $25,000 worth of nip/tucking to be won. Potential entrants will be chosen from a pool of lucky casino visitors who register for a player’s card at the Trump Taj Mahal or the Trump Plaza in October. So don't stress if you eat too much Halloween candy -- Trump and co. will pay to have those extra lbs sucked out.
"We wanted to change the face of a typical casino promotion, and with this one we are literally doing it," said Kathleen McSweeney, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Trump Entertainment Resorts to the AP.
"People often want this surgery but they're reluctant to spend their own money to do it," she added. "Whether it's kids' tuition, or the mortgage or they just don't have that kind of money, this is their opportunity to get it done."
Players earn credits toward the contest. The winner must be present with his or her player's card inserted into a machine when the prize is awarded. Yes, there has to be a catch. You HAVE to gamble. Maybe there are penny slots? Just a thought... But alas, the winner can choose a cash prize if he or she doesn't want the surgery.
And you thought the Groupon surgery deals were a winner? These casinos just "upped the ante." The "New Breasts" radio contest seems so much easier. But, that did require you to prove you needed the new breasts.
