Skip Heidi Klum's In An Instant--it's all show and no tell
Beauty Cred on Jul 11, 2008

There's plenty of buzz about In An Instant and Heidi Klum herself has been singing her skincare line's praises. But what's so great about In An Instant products? Some RealSelf.com readers simply wonder where to buy In An Instant.

Ms. Klum revealed little in her interview with BellaSugar, saying:

"You get immediate results. My favorite product is the Instant Wrinkle Smoother. You just apply it to any lines on your face and they instantly disappear — it’s incredible."

Thanks Heidi, that was really unhelpful.  The In An Instant skincare line includes the following products...

Heidi Klum's In An Instant Line is a lot of show and no tell

  1. Gentle Foaming Cleanser
  2. Intensive Firming Serum
  3. Instant Wrinkle Smoother
  4. Intant Daily Tinted Moisturizer
  5. Instant Warming Scrub

I would've provided links, of course, but there's nothing to link to.

If you do go to Ms. Klum's In An Instant website (which, by the way, the skincare line is in partnership with Guthy-Renker who seemed to have more of their act together with Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty line)--you'll find some pretty pack pricing to entice you to buy the regimen--but WHERE'S THE INFORMATION? This may go down as one of the worst launches I've seen--ever.

I don't blame Ms. Klum--she's never said she was a manufacturing, marketing, supply chain or merchandising wiz. But I'm certainly not shelling any money out for something with zero info on it.

Final note: don't think I haven't already reached out to the company. I did. But when I went to submit my query, I kept getting error messages for no reason. I guess my error was in trying period.

If you've purchased In An Instant, let everyone know what you think!

I also bought the product and the two products I liked and would purchase again, in fact that is what I'm trying to do at this time, anyway, the two products are the tinted face cream and the scrub that is heat activated. Did they remove my wrinkles, I can't really say but would I purchase these two products I mentioned? The answer is yes.

I purchased the products with the understanding it was going to be only $39.00 a month. They charged me over a $100 too. I haven't recieved my 90 day supply but they were sure quick to retrieve the money from my credit card. However, when I did start the 30 day supply. I did like and my face did feel different. I got a lot of compliments from it. It is like any other product, you have to use it faithfully twice a day. Otherwise you can't see results. And you have to be on it at least 6months to really see a change. It can't happen sooner. I am not giving up and feel my face is worth it. I just hope they don't take too long for the shipment to get here. But I believe in it and like it!

I have used and like the foaming cleanser, the toner and the tinted moisturizer with sun block. The fragrance is pleasant and "clean". The wrinkle stick really does work - FOR an instant. It is simply nothing more than spackle that fills the cracks and seemingly makes them disappear - FOR an instant. My problem is that I went to the site to reorder a couple of items and there is only one choice, and that is the mini-assortment that is the introductory offer. You would think they would want to sell the full size items, but I guess this line can only be purchased on an auto-ship basis, which is exactly what I did not want to do. (I, too, had a difficult time cancelling my "membership" when I called and was told I could reorder specific items.)

I too believe everything I see, I tried the introductory kit and only got billed for it (it was delivered quickly). I love the cleanser, eye cream, scrub and serum. the rest I could do without. I noticed that two dark spots on my face have faded rather quickly... but I wont be ordering again as it is too expensive...

Jacklin, Hi, I read you post on the realself website re: Heidi Klum's In An Instant on April 28, 2009. I also had charges over $100 the first month after I received the first box. I cancelled and sent it all back. Had already planned to do that anyway. I'm upset about their overcharges. These were supposed to be $29 payments. The problems they caused me became a huge issue in my life. I used my ATM check card trusting the agreement. I'm on disability so have little money. I had several checks out at the time and their taking that money from my account caused several checks to go bad, which in turn cost me in over draft fees. In all totaling near to $500 in bank fees. With everything digital, checks fly through the system in realtime. They bounce back and forth and the fines just pile up! I felt violated. I still do. I consider it theft. I've tried to send an email to Heidi through her Myspace page??? Will see if she or anyone responds as I've asked for her to help and have her company to pay these bank fees. I consider what they're doing fraudulent if not illegal. Like I said in Heidi's email, If you give a store a signed check and tell them to fill in the $40 amount for you and they put in $112 (that's what they charged me), it would be considered theft. Considered illegal. The police could become involved, legal issues as well and possibly jail depending on how often the store had done this. So how often has this store, In An Instant, Heidi/Guthy??? done this? To how many people? I'm thinking it might be a good idea to find others this happened to. A discussion might lead to something we could do to have the company either stop this practice, or, have them be upfront about it. Maybe it's there in fine print, but I didn't see it. I didn't receive an email telling me they'd be charging me $112 the following month if I click some agreement link. I have an online business and I would never even begin to think of doing this to my customers. It's just horrible. I can receive a message at myspace... goldenimagination, just befriend me. (hope that's okay I put that here?) & thanks realself.com for the blog

For your best face.... Clease with your favorite cleanser and two tablespoons of baking soda... Pat dry your face with a clean towel. Use a small amount of your favorite non-oily lotion. Apply a small amount of "Insta-tox" on forehead, under your eyes, and a touch around your mouth. Let dry. (Approx 2 to 3 mins) If you need a touch more, add a little bit. Look in the mirror...If you have any white smudges from using a bit too much wet your finger and blend...(that should take care of it... Use a mineral power concealer for under eyes and around nose. (Bare Minerals is my choice) Then, with a good power brush apply a small amount of mineral power all over your face in a small circular motion. Next, apply a small amount of bronzer to the center of your forehead, cheeks, and center of your chin. Follow with a small amount of bronzer on your eyelids as a perfect matching shadow! (not too heavy tho) Fill in brows with an appropriate brow color. (I LOVE Smashbox) Finish with a touch of mascara and a dab of gloss on your lips, and you will have a fresh, natural and polished look for anytime of year...

After reading the reviews here, I absolutely have no interest in trying Heidi's product. It is the same thing as all the others...that stuff where if you use too much you get a white film on your face... So far, nothing has been invented to surpass this yet...I am waiting for science to find a cream that swells up the skin for several hours without the need of injections. Hopefully, the day is near. But until then, I highly reccomend "Insta-tox" It was originally sold on the Home Shopping Network, but can be found now on Ebay and other online beauty supply stores. I buy mine on Ebay for around $15 for a full size tube and it lasts for a very long time. I have tried Freeze 24/7 and took it back. It was awful and so overpriced I was shocked at how worthless that product was...I have nearly tried them all, and Insta-tox is the best....

I really like Heidi Klum on "Project Runway". It's my favorite celebrity-type, challenge program. Heidi is definitely a beautiful gal, seems to have a good, nice, friendly personality. Of course, I know,it's "edited". After reading the replies/comments re: "In An Instant", I'm not planning to order. It's too bad Heidi has put her name/backing on this product; perhaps, better would be to say the marketing strategies of Gunthy-Renker! I STILL like Heidi whether "her" product(s) work or not.
