Is Garnier's new rollerball skincare worth it?

It was only a matter of time for this light-bulb- "A-ha!"-moment marketing epiphany..."let's try including the benefits of roller massage to stimulate circulation and improve efficacy!" A few meetings later and here's the recipe:

Mix:
- 1 part cold stone therapy for circulatory benefits
- 1 part roll-on deodorant system for smooth no-mess product application
- "Unique" combination of skin-nutrients to address undereye puffiness and dark circles
Bake through:
- Marketing revisions, merchandising plans and ad execution
Yield:
- Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller
wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles, and puffy eyes. The first is Garnier's Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller (the green one, above) in the US. The second is Garnier Ultra Lift PRO-X Roll-On in the UK. The UK launch touts the ability to plump up lines and wrinkles for a more toned look.
I've tried Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller. In my first impression, I found it did go on with a cooling sensation (the roller ball applicator is metal) and the product did glide on fairly smoothly. But I definitely had to smooth it out more with my fingertip. After a few minutes, I did notice some tightening and de-puffing, which I owe to the Glycerin, Caffeine, and Panthenol-Pro-Vitamin B5 it contains. I don't really have dark circles, so I can't speak to that claim.
In concept, I like the cool feel of the roller ball and would-be ease of application, but the cooling roller sensation is so quick-and-over-with that I question the extent of the actual circulatory benefit from that. It seems a little over-rated. And the fact that I needed to use my fingertip to complete the application doesn't really save me anything in terms of mess or time or pampering feel.
Have you tried these new facial roll-ons from Garnier?
