Eyeslices spams

Eyeslices spams
Beauty Cred on Jan 16, 2009

Occasionally we receive spam postings by companies thinking it's a smart thing to promote by faking a product or treatment review.  Quite the contrary.  It's usually obvious to consumers when it's fake and has the opposite effect on a company's reputation.

Normally I send a note to a spam case in privacy, but in the case of EyeSlices I felt compelled to point out their posting to our product reviews section after finding other similar suspicious posts on other blogs (here at B5 and here)

EyeSlices writes:

I tried EyeSlices in a spa during my vacation when I had tired eyes and was happy to discover EyeSlices can now be bought online to use at home. EyeSlices helped my dry eyes and burning eyes from travelling on the plane and quickly changing climates. I find using EyeSlices relaxing. EyeSlices claims to help puffy eyes and reduce dark circles under eyes, it definitely does for me.

This is where I purchased the EyeSlices online: http://www.eyeslicesusa.com

I'm only 26, so I'm not worrying yet about reducing signs of aging, but hopefully by using EyeSlices I'll prevent some wrinkles from starting! I like the fact that it's made with aoe vera.

Does EyeSlices marketing think the web consumer actually writes like this or believes it's a real person writing the review?

In an odd oversight, EyeSlices actually uses an internal company email address with "SEO" in the address.  Their IP address is traceable to a suspect entity called "Stentor National Integrated Communications Network."

If you see EyeSlices online, make sure you read a real review.
