Brow shaping tips from the experts at Chroma Beverly Hills

Chroma Make-up Studio is a one stop haven for brow shaping, facial waxing and make-up. Debbie Jacobson is a make-up artist at Chroma who has been working in the business for the past thirteen years.

Her insight is invaluable and the following are her tips about eyebrows:

1. Have your brows professionally tweezed, not waxed, every two to six weeks as needed.

Tweezing is more accurate and precise, and will allow for a more defined look.Salma Hayek

2. Fill in brows with eye shadow a shade lighter than your hair color

This technique is a softer, more flattering option than using a pencil, which can paint too harsh of a line.

3. Don’t over pluck the brows in the center of your eyes above your nose.

Brows should start at the corner of your eyes.

4. Natural, fuller brows are in, over-plucking is out… so get those brows growing. Think Salma Hayek or Rebecca Gayheart’s brows. Gayheart, the real life wife of Grey’s Anatomy’s Dr. McSteamy relies on Chroma to keep her brows perfectly groomed.

But don’t take in a picture of your favorite movie star’s brows anytime soon. The make-up artists at Chroma prefer to work with your individual facial features to determine the best brow shape for your face, explaining that cookie cutter brows don’t work universally on everyone.

Chroma also offers facial waxing as well as make-up application and lessons. They offer Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer color palettes in a full line of make-up
