Bristol Palin Says Cosmetic Surgery Was "Medically Necessary"

The consensus last week was that Bristol Palin must have had a cosmetic procedure -- most likely chin liposuction.

But now Palin tells US Weekly that her change was medically necessary. Apparently she had corrective jaw surgery to properly align her jaw and teeth. She says her dentist warned from a young age that she may eventually need this.

She goes on to tell the magazine that she's happy with her new look, and that she "wouldn't get plastic surgery unless I got in an accident or something terrible and got disfigured."

Ok, maybe she did have jaw surgery. But where did all the chin fat go? Perhaps she had a little lipo at the same time?

If Palin truly isn't fessing up to an aesthetic enhancement, she should at least opt for the rhinoplasty patient type of excuse: "I broke my nose and the doctor said he'd take the bump off since we were fixing it anyway." You look good, Bristol. Own it!

What do you think? Is Bristol just trying to make excuses to save her image?
