Botox vs. Dysport: Can You See the Difference?

Dr. Grant Stevens is playing a neat game over on his Facebook page, asking readers to identify which side of his face was treated with Botox and which side was treated with Dysport. The game looked so fun, I wanted to make a comparable one using before and after photos. In the pictures below, each patient had the same area treated with either Botox or Dysport. Read up on what RealSelf doctors say are the minor differences between the two products, then write down your guesses before checking the correct answers at the bottom of this post.

This could simply be injector variation or patient variation. Split forehead studies with the same injector and same patient yield more accurate information. Now there is the Botox - Xeomin challenge at Marina Plastic Surgery . Check out their facebook page for photos of patients with split botox xeomin foreheads.

Dr. Stevens thank you for your time and wisdom.
Might I ask you if a neck lift that is really a result of bad lipo 10 years ago can be best treated?The neck is just sort of jiggly under the chin where it never quite healed right. An RN who does injections told me that Botox may not be a good idea. I hate the bands or as I refer to them rings of Saturn. I will e-mail you pictures when I can.

I wish there was a an actual way to make all these things disapear. I would call it TRANSPORT for it could take us back to when we needed not to pay for our transforming our older faces and have the wisdom without the cost and emotional stretch marks..LOL..Until than I am interested in the good Dr. fight not the unreal idea of transporting back in time. Oh wouldn't it be cool though?Funny how when we approach a landmark age how everyone else that is a few years older seems old to us? Than we take it back.

Both these treatments are very effective and from what I know the only difference between them is POPULARITY. Botox had a very intense advertisement while Dysport is at the beginning right now. We can compare the competition between these two procedures with the competition between Coke and Pepsi....Both have a big number of fans but one of them is considered better. I recently saw a report of a clinic in Toronto that showed the exact difference between these two procedures....the number of persons that had a botox treatment in Toronto represents approximately 75%. The difference is that big thanks to the multiple uses botox cosmetic has.
