4 wannabe Botox Alternatives
Remember those "I wannabe like Mike" ads, referring to Michael Jordan way-back-when? There ought to be a music video made (a' la Rocky Horror) with every topical product that wants to be like Botox. I guess there's a marketing chart out there that shows sales incrementality when a product's ad copy mentions "Botox"--which would mean people are buying it (in more ways than one).
I recently posted about Euoko claiming its ingredients work similarly to Botox. And Rodial Glamotox offers itself up as a substitute for Botox. Now, Shape magazine's June '08 issue shares another four wannabe's. It's actually a good thing that topicals are setting their sights on the efficacy of Botox--not everyone wants to stick a needle into their brow to get rid of wrinkles and fine lines.
Also, given the recent press about the possible dangers of Botox, and some of the potential side effects, it could be better to smooth out those wrinkles with these creams, seen in Shape:
1. Sonya Dakar UltraLuxe-9 Age Control Complex
2. SkinMedica TNS Line Refine
3. 24.7 Skincare Targeted Wrinkle Treatment
4. Dr. Brandt Crease Release
Have you tried any of these Botox mimics? WiWi: Was it Worth it?
