Posh Opts for Botox Alternative

Ok, disclosure: I really don't care what Posh Spice is doing. I don't take my skincare advice from someone who's best known for "So tell me what you want, what you really really want" and being married to a hot footballer. But a lot of other folks are enamored with Ms. Victoria Beckham's beauty secrets--no, not her boob jobs--but rather, how she keeps her skin virtually wrinkle-free despite three kids and all.

Perhaps the first thing that would come to mind are Botox treatments, but some publications found out that it's not. Grazia magazine and Metro.co.uk have reported that the 33-year-old Spice mom prefers a £55 (about $110) "natural botox" cream over Botox injections for smoothing out unsightly wrinkles and lines. Posh allegedly began using Natralox (by Skin Elements), a non-invasive "miracle" wrinkle buster, after some UK distributors sent her a sample.

"The cream was sent to Victoria some months back and we received a message from her people saying she loved it so we sent her more," said a spokesman for the Natralox distributors in UK.

Natralox contains an ingredient called Argireline, which is said to be a muscle relaxant--and touted to temporarily cease & desist the effects of repetitive facial movements. The anti-wrinkle ingredient seems to be a common ingredient in "Botox alternatives" these days, and we're seeing it in a lot of products such as Euoko's Y-Line, Revitol's Anti-Aging Line, Patricia Wexler Deep Wrinkle Eye Repair, and many others.
