UPDATE:
Amanda responded to RealSelf's Tweet about her procedure, and let us know that she's having a total body lift this month, not liposuction (although the former usually includes a bit of the latter).

Amanda Arlauskas, a popular contestant from season 8 of The Biggest Loser says 'Yes' to lipo.
Amanda, who has her procedure scheduled for late September, has a medical condition called Lipedema, which causes her body to store excess fatty tissue in her legs. This tissue--called Lipodermic Fat--can't be lost through diet or exercise, leaving liposuction as her best hope of getting rid of it.
In an interview with Jen Wielgus of Phillyburbs.com:
“I’ll always be bottom-heavy, and I know that, but I just want to find something, and hopefully plastic surgery is it, because I hate my legs so much. I’m praying for something, because it’s like you’ve come this far and you deserve to be able to flaunt it. I just want to be able to wear a dress and show off my legs and not be so humiliated by them.”

Amanda lost a total of 87 lbs. in her weight loss journey and currently fluctuates between 168 and 171 lbs. That's a huge success in itself, and an even larger triumph considering her medical condition. Her surgery in September will re-shape her body, and potentially drop her weight another 10-15 lbs.
