A Primper for your hair "down there"

I received an email the other day about the "next big hair trend". Many emails I get have that sort of subject line. But this one was a little different in that it wasn't about the hair on my head. It was about the hair...well...down there.
Apparently if you're not going for the full Brazilian wax, or if you notice the stray gray, you may just want to dye your pubic hair. Betty Beauty, the company founded by Nancy Jarecki, offers a range of hair color options as well as stencils--yes, stencils--to pretty things up down there.
Of note, the email I received had a couple of interesting tidbits about that hair down there...
- During the 1950's, apparently Marilyn Monroe dyed her hair down there to match her famous platinum blonde locks
- British fashion designer Mary Quant once declared that she regularly trimmed her hair down there into the shape of a heart, and dyed it green.
Just sharing.
So will you be trying this next big hair trend? Have you tried Betty Beauty? WiWi: Was it Worth it?

What's in this stuff?! I can't imagine that a hair dye would be particularly safe in this area...is there an info. about research or tests done on Betty Beauty products?

There isn't much available in the way of specific ingredient lists online, nor are the results of any research readily available. The Betty Beauty site does indicate that its founder, Nancy Jarecki, worked with a toxicologist, but that's about the only reference there. Additionally, the FAQs on the Betty Beauty site indicate this: Is it safe to color near such a sensitive area? Yes. The formula was developed specifically to color the hair down there. It’s a no-drip, very creamy and conditioning formula. (Many say that their hair is much softer and not as coarse after using betty). BLACK/BROWN use a special developer containing silicones/polymers that create a barrier on the skin yet help deposit the color with no irritation. It is a form of 30 vol. but not harsh like regular developers and the color is a creamy conditioning DEMI-permanent dye.

I've used the blonde betty before and it was quite safe. There was no irritation and the formula stuck around my pubic area and didn't try to wonder anywhere else. So i would recommend it. They even have funky colors though i've only tried the blonde.

i have used betty beauty before and have asked about the ingredients because i was concerned too. They do not use any ammonia, it is paraben-free and they use natural ingredients like aloe and rosemary. Its a gentle formula and I had no irritations!
