Aquafina: from skin care to colonic cleansing?
Haven't heard much about colonic cleansing since it was all the rage when it was reported that Princess Di went for periodic cleansings way back when. In fact, my local colonic cleansing place (not that I ever went there) closed its doors over a year ago. But now, little by little, the concept's coming back--though perhaps not in its full-blown capacity.
Enter Aquafina, PepsiCo's bottled water company. Yes, the very Aquafina that stumbled into skin care not too long ago. Now, Aquafina is launching a series of nutrient-enriched bottled waters. Called Alive, these Aquafina waters come in three flavors--Energize, Satisfy, and Protect--and promises to give your body its daily boost of vitamins and antioxidants.
Particularly interesting is peach-mango-flavored Alive Satisfy, which contains 3g of fiber, or about 10% of the recommended daily value for fiber (and we all know what fiber intake is for), and lightly (ok, ever so lightly) fills you up with 10 calories. Satisfy's fiber comes from Fibersol, which appears on the label as a dietary soluble fiber called maltodextrin.
I'm personally a fan of Fiber One cereal, which cranks up the fiber intake like nothing else I know, save a bucket of Metamucil. So I'm not sure what 3g of fiber will really be buying you if you're looking at it as a dietary--i.e., a little detoxifying boost for weight loss--drink.
Have you tried Aquafina Alive Satisfy? What did you think--did you notice any difference?

I can't honestly say that I've noticed feeling any more "full" than normal after having a bottle of Aquafina Satisfy, but to my way of thinking... if I am going to drink water ...I may as well have one that taste refreshing, lacks calorie's, and if it provides even a hint of fiber.....that's only a plus right?
