With many procedures priced at over $7,000, cosmetic enhancements are not a luxury that everyone can afford. Still, it is possible to get a more youthful appearance without breaking the bank. There are several procedures, medications, and injectables featured on RealSelf that cost below $1,000 on average.

Check out 5 of the more popular anti-aging procedures priced under one grand:

1. Microdermabrasion - $330

Microdermabrasion is an exfoliating process designed to smooth wrinkles and brighten skin. “Oh wow, was it ever worth it!” says RealSelf member 637780anon. She boasts that following the procedure, she was mistaken for her 38-year-old cousin at her family reunion. Though she was too self-conscious about her appearance to take a before photo, she sure doesn’t look her actual age, 54, in her after photo. Worth It Rating: 60%

2. Botox - $484

With Botox, you can erase wrinkles without paying the thousands of dollars for a facelift. RealSelf member RoeFromCalifornia thinks the price is right, noting that she now “save[s] a lot of money [not having to buy] all the store-bought ‘remedies’.” Pleased that her face no longer looks so stressed, she already scheduled another appointment for a few months later. 3. Chemical Peel - $565

Chemical peels remove the top layer of skin to reveal a healthier, younger complexion. At first, Jeni in SD didn’t want to spend even this amount for a chemical peel, but ultimately decided “the small price was worth the potential benefits of trouble-free skin.” The photos one day before and one day after Jeni's chemical peel show a significant reduction in acne. 4. Restylane - $734

Restylane is an injectable filler that mainly eliminates wrinkles and plumps lips. Squeaker turned to Restylane to get rid of the bags under her eyes. Her before-and-after photos show a remarkable difference after just a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, two-and-a-half years later, she still sees the results and continues to be enthusiastic about the filler. Worth It Rating: 61%

5. IPL - $745

IPL, an acronym for Intense Pulsed Light, handles sun damage, wrinkles, stretch marks, and age spots. Years in the California sun left Erikosantamonica with dark sun spots on her face. "Not only did the IPL remove the sunspots, it smoothed my skin and shrunk the pores," she raves. You can see proof of the less-weathered skin in the before-and-after photos she uploaded. Worth It Rating: 53%
