At an average cost of $4,700, chin implants certainly aren’t for everyone. But among those who decided to go under the knife, over half of them decided their chin implant procedure was worth it.

If you don't feel the need to change your body, it can be hard to understand why someone else would. But seeing the results of a cosmetic procedure can show skeptics what a difference it make's in one's appearance.

I had a silicone chin implant and slim lipo on my neck on Aug 5th. The ends of the implant curled up into my mouth and ps went back in to fix the problem. He only got one side fixed so had to go in a THIRD time to fix left side again. No sedation, very painful. He told me that he had never heard of the ends curling UP, but sometimes they curl DOWNWARD. He also had a hard time finding the "blue dot" that signifies the center. He finally said, "here it is, clear up here!" Does anybody agree that it might have been put in upside down? I'm in a lot of pain (last fix was 4 days ago) and really want to be done with this.

Appearance is especially important to teenagers, and say a young girl has a really large nose, her classmates could be cruel, and make fun of her. I say, have the surgery! It's so sad, so unfortunate that we live in a society like this. The sad reality is that we do, and rather than suffer have the surgery. Some people are just ignorant, and insensitive for many reasons. Just look at the young students that have committed suicide after being BULLIED! That's shameful! What kind of parents do these creeps have??

I definitely learned this lesson looking through rhinoplasty when I first started working for RealSelf. I was amazing at how the smallest tweak can make someone's face look a lot more attractive -- even if it's hard to spot the exact difference in their nose!
