I'm going to do it. I'm going to find an acupuncturist to give me an acupuncture facelift. Stay tuned. Today's NY Times alerts us to the spread beyond L.A. of a new trend toward cosmetic acupuncure facelifts in, of all places, Minneapolis. If someone in Minnesota has had an acupuncture facelift, can "A Natural Beauty" be far behind?
I've already had Botox (only good for small areas of the face), Restylane (hurts), Juvederm (very, very expensive and painful), and if someone is going to stick needles into my face I'd like it to hurt less and last longer.
According to this article, "whether cosmetic acupuncture works has yet to be proved. Some randomized, controlled studies have shown that acupuncture is an effective adjunctive treatment for hypertension, chronic pain, headaches and back pain. But there is no peer-reviewed research demonstrating that acupuncture diminishes wrinkles."
However, this hasn't stopped the creation of a school for facial acupuncturists that trains people in the "Mei Zen" (beautiful person) system of cosmetic acupuncture. Stay tune, and I will let you know how it is.
BTW, next week I get my lips permanently made up.

Hmmm... it would be awesome if this does work! I look forward to finding out if it does.

Trust me, when I do it, the world will know!
