Wax me, Shave me, Strip me bare!
There are those women who wax. And there are those who shave. I guess there are those who are going to Tria, too. Me? I'm a hybrid. And as that's in vogue right now, I'm happy with the label. But specifically, I'm a bikini waxer and a leg shaver. I've done depilatories and bleaching, but seem to always return to those twin (or more) blades.
So I'm constantly on the lookout for that perfect shave. Enter Weleda Sea Buckthorn Creamy Body Wash, and my first impression...
No, Weleda Sea Buckthorn Creamy Body Wash is not a shave cream. Nor does Weleda Sea Buckthorn Creamy Body Wash claim to be one. But any body wash or gel is fair game for me when it comes to shaving. So I slathered on Sea Buckthorn Creamy Body Wash and found it smooth and creamy with a citrusy scent--definitely not the typical shower gel consistency you're used to--it's more like a lotion.
Even though I don't get the "lift" that a shave cream would tout, Weleda Sea Buckthorn Creamy Body Wash does just fine as my razor glides right on through. Weleda Sea Buckthorn Creamy Body Wash leaves my skin moisturized, too--so I'm not feeling that tight, itchy feeling right after. Bonus: Sea Buckthorn oil (Sea Buckthorn shown at right) is an antioxidant! I'm hard pressed to find fine lines and wrinkles on my legs, but hey, I figure I can use all the free radical protection I can get.
QUICK TAKE: Weleda Sea Buckthorn Creamy Body Wash goes on smooth and makes shaving an all-around smoother process without leaving my legs dry or irritated. It's so creamy though that I'm not sure I'd use it as my allover body wash.
