Fashion icon Yves Saint Laurent made a rare public appearance on Friday and caused a commotion by collapsing on a Paris street, lying motionless for several minutes until help arrived. He's out of the hospital now and recuperating at home, but the incident did nothing to quell rumors of health problems, drug abuse and depression.

But things aren't all bad. YSL's new Perfect Touch Radiant Brush foundation is earning rave reviews from anti-aging experts and make-up fans looking for the flawless finish usually only an airbrush can provide. Makeup pro Mateo Ambrose tells InStyle the new base is "like having a makeup artist built into your product."

Maybe old Yves can use it to cover up his bruises from the fall!

Though the YSL line has struggled in recent years, the label's show was a hit at Paris Fashion Week with critics, as well as high-wattage stars like Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham.

I am sitting here with my YSL Perfect Touch Foundation, and it is gorgeous BUT there is no way to get the right amount onto the brush, or onto the back of your hand as I was taught at Nordstroms, and then onto your face. When you sqeeze the tube even the slightest this ungodly amount comes pouring out!!! I try and try and rather than plastering the stuff all over my face and arms and neck and back, I try to scrape the excess back onto the brush for "next time". And it costs $50 bucks a throw too. What in the heck am I supposed to do? The whole bottle or whatever they call it, will be gone in about a week at this rate. What a stupid, stupid design, and they know it too!!! Mad in Chicago
