Olay Regenerist 14 Day Skin Intervention

That's what my t-shirt should say. Because, yes, I made it through the full 2 weeks of Olay Regenerist 14 Day Skin Intervention! This is no small feat as it required my complete dedication and commitment to continue the program regardless of how tired (lazy) I felt or what results I was (or was not) seeing. I forged on till the end. And here's my first impression...

To back-track a bit, I was spurred on to try Olay Regenerist 14 Day Skin Intervention by the review I saw at Aging Fabulous, by Teri Cosenzi's sister. She had her Intervention on the cusp of her 38th birthday, and absolutely raved about it.

Well, the first thing that strikes you about Olay Regenerist 14 Day Skin Intervention is how serious it looks. 14 vials neatly lined up like test tubes in a plastic holding tray (at right). A bit daunting, but it certainly gives the appearance of serious skin care...serious results. The bottom row of 7 Phase One vials is what you use on week #1. The top row--Phase Two--is for week #2.

After using Phase One, which glided on super-smoothly, I did notice a slight tightening and smoothing effect on my skin. I also used Phase One on my neck, and though I didn't really notice a dramatic improvement in elasticity, I did see (feel) improved texture. But, truthfully, at age 42, slack skin is not my main issue. So Phase Two is what I was interested in. Here's what the package says about Olay Regenerist 14 Day Skin Intervention Phase Two:

Helps fill in wrinkles with polishing micro-powders and hydrating moisture. The formula, with a high concentration of Olay's peptide-B3 complex, helps you to experience a lifted look to your skin.

Ok. Here's where I fall off the Olay Regenerist 14 Day Skin Intervention bandwagon. What "polishing micro-powders"? I did not feel any polishing going on. And the only "filling-in" of wrinkles or fine lines I could arguably say I noticed was from the hydration. Now, to be fair, the benefits I saw from Phase One remained, and my skin did have an overall more "youthful" appearance--the smoothing effect I mentioned before. But Phase Two of Olay Regenerist 14 Day Skin Intervention did not live up to its claims in my estimation.

QUICK TAKE: If you want a break from your everyday skin care routine, and want to feel as though you're doing something special that gives your skin a little boost and helps smooth things out, Olay Regenerist 14 Day Skin Intervention is definitely an option. I found it delivered more on its lifting claims though than its claims about wrinkles.
