Is Nude Skincare Miracle Mask really a miracle?

By the time you hit a certain age (translation: you're shopping wrinkle creams) you've heard the word "miracle" so much that you sort of go, "yeah, whatever" when you do hear it. So when I saw Nude Skincare's Miracle Mask, my hopes were high but my raised-eyebrow radar was also pretty high.

I've heard so many good things about Nude Skincare--and as I recently mentioned, Bono backs this brand--so I'm willing to be a believer and give the once-a-week Nude Skincare Miracle Mask a try. The goal? Smoothed and revitalized skin. Here's my first impression...

The Nude Skincare Miracle Mask package (at right) does say "skin may tingle as treatment works". That's music to my ears as while I don't want anything irritating, I also like to feel my anti-agers working. It's a reassurance thing. That said, I apply the canteloupe-colored Miracle Mask all over my face--there really isn't a discernable scent to this translucent serum as it goes on.

No tingling (or stinging) here. In fairness, my skin is used to 10-12% AHA's, so maybe the concentration level of AHAs (Lactic Acid) in Nude Skincare Miracle Mask is not quite as high--the info I have doesn't specify. I leave Nude Skincare Miracle Mask on for the 5 minutes--not much of an investment for a miracle!--and then rinse off with warm cloth.

My skin does feel smoother--I'm almost surprised because I really didn't feel Nude Skincare Miracle Mask working--and maybe that's the "miracle" part. I can't say much for the revitalization part, but I could really use a nap so maybe my skin would appear tired no matter what right now!

QUICK TAKE: Nude Skincare Miracle Mask is a gentler (though not for sensitive skin) version of AHA mask than some others I've tried. It did leave my skin smoother, but I might want to use it more than once-a-week.
