Hollywood's Beauty Secret...Frownies?

This little ivory-colored box with "Frownies" on it has always caught my eye. Especially given what it says on the side of the Frownies box, too--"Hollywood's Beauty Secret". Had to try 'em. So here's my first impression:
Frownies--once you open the box and unfold the golden tissue paper--turn out to be like little stickers. They have a thin, dry glue-like substance on the back (think of how postage stamps used to be--the lickable kind). Frownies need to be moistened first before application. Following the schematic (product insert) for how to place Frownies on my lines, I moisten and apply.
Now, Frownies touts itself as a Botox alternative. Sounds a little dubious at first when you consider Frownies are basically facial stickers. But here's the thing--you simply cannot move your face wherever you stick your Frownies! And there in lies the secret--or at least the mystery behind how Frownies work.
Aside from not being able to move the muscles on my forehead, I can't say what results I'm seeing. But, the Frownies instructions do say to where them for at least 3 hours a day--and sleeping with Frownies on is preferable--for a minimum of 30 days. The clock is ticking...!
QUICK TAKE: Frownies feel like they're doing something as I can't move anything--and if that's the secret to minimizing fine lines due to repetitive facial movements, maybe it will work. I need to use Frownies for 30 days though...
Have you tried Frownies? Are Frownies worth it? Tell us what you think!

That just seems a little ridiculous and annoying. I wouldn't be able to stand it longer than 10min. There might be one good thing, that results from wear. You train yourself not to make exaggerated facial expressions. Most repeatative exaggerated expressions people make, result in wrinkles. I have learned long ago, to avoid crazy expressions, drinking through straws, smoking, and excessive smiling. I also never leave home without my shades. No lines, no wrinkles, and in my 30s.

I think that's why it's recommended that you wear Frownies overnight. I did--but I didn't have trouble getting to sleep with them on either. Also, it goes without saying, regardless of how long you're able to wear Frownies during waking hours, clearly you won't be going anywhere while they're on!

Well, I've only worn them for one week and not a bit of improvement. I'm going to give it the full 3 weeks though and see what happens..........

When I've worn Frownies, I have seen some improvement, even on day #1. I notice a more relaxed look upon waking up. Which set of Frownies are you using--the brow set or the set that's more for the corners of the mouth and nasolabial area? I've tried both, and in my experience, the brow set worked better. Let us know how the rest of the 3 weeks goes! -Nancy
