Australian actress Cate Blanchett is one of Hollywood’s most talented stars. We did some research and unearthed the secret behind Cate’s flawless skin.

A Japanese monk, interested in why women working in breweries had such soft skin, conducted a study and extracted a liquid found in the yeast fermentation process that he named “Pitera.”

Pitera has since been dubbed an “age-defying liquid,” which functions as “a singular blend of vitamins, amino acids, proteins and organic acids (that) work together to produce a seemingly miraculous rebirth of the skin through stimulation and renewal of the outer layer, allowing the skin's natural rejuvenation process to function at its prime.”

The discovery of Pitera launched an entire line of skin care products called SK-II, and Blanchett is the face behind the brand

To date, SK-II is only sold in the United Kingdom and Australia.
