Aquaphor + More Magazine team up for a Half-Marathon Celebration of Life

Yesterday was the 5th-annual More magazine Half-Marathon presented by Aquaphor Healing Ointment. The Half-Marathon, run in Central Park in New York City, is a celebration of women's strength and this year Team Aquaphor--a team of 15 breast cancer survivors and supporters showed their strength in completing the 13.1 mile course!

Team Aquaphor included the following runners:

Beth Alligood, Lisa Barrett, Mari-Ellen Brickley-Raab, Wendy Brown, Sharon Czebotar, Lynn Dever, Beth DuPree, Donna Fay, Zoricka Fitzpatrick, Jeri Fox, Sharon Harrison, Mary Rago, Lori Riordan, Tiffany Thomas-Smith and Beth Vassilluzzo-Tentilucci

This incredible group of women--Team Aquaphor--trained for months in preparation for the event. Each of the women hails from Bucks County, PA and each of them is over 40--an inspiration to us all. Additionally, they have a very special affinity with Aquaphor--the women on the team used Aquaphor Healing Ointment "religiously" when they were undergoing radiation and post-surgery to aid healing. I also heard they used Aquaphor Healing Ointment to help prevent blisters during yesterday's race, too!

Team Aquaphor is led by Dr. Beth DuPree, M.D., F.A.C.S., who is one of the founders of the first comprehensive breast care hospital in the U.S.--Comprehensive Breast Care Associates in Philadelphia. She is also leader of the support group "Breast Friends".

Team Aquaphor finished the race together as a celebration of life and friendship, and as an alternate method of healing.
