116 is the new 100. Happy Birthday Besse [PHOTO]

Besse Cooper, a great great grandmother, celebrated her 116th birthday earlier this week, making her the oldest person in the world. The Georgia sweetheart, when asked her secret to longevity, told Guinness, “I mind my own business. And I don’t eat junk food.’’

In this day at age, when lifestyle choices can make you look 10 years older or younger, and many people are seeking prescription strength options to reverse the work of time and gravity, who knows what 40, 50 or even 60 looks like anymore. All we can say, is Besse's looking pretty darn good.

Happy Birthday, Besse!

Feel free to share you birthday wishes or thoughts on her life philosophy below!

Besse, you sound like a remarkable person. Your "secrets" to longevity sound simple yet profound - "I mind my own business, and I don't eat junk food." How many of us can say that? We tend to get into other people's business and eat food that is not good for us. Bravo, Besse! You're a wonderful role model for us all. Blessings to you. May you live joyfully all the rest of your life.
